I am looking for an up grade to the Nikon Z50 and would prefer to stick with NIKON and with its 1.5 crop. So the Z50 II, the Z80, and the Z90 are being looked at including : Price, availability, specs, and general feel and performance, ... will be considered. I am 70 and hope my next purchase will last as long as my previous 2 did!

That would be a Real replacement for the Nikon D500 . Just Hoping…!

Exactly my hopes, I'm still sometimes using my old D500 as there hasn't been a perfect Z replacement for it. Yet.

Hm, I' m still using my D850 and besides I have a Fuji x-s10 with a Fringer NF-FX to use my great Nikon G and P lenses. So let's see what will come..

$1500 LOL That is literally never going to happen. $2200 at a minimum.

I sure don't want a body like what you descripted, I rather have a APS-C sensor in the Z9 body. But it really doesn't matter, it's all preference and what you " reveled" also meaningless. nothing to see here, tons of useless " info" out there, move on.

Which is it Z80 or Z90? There are no decent lenses for Nikon apsc mirrorless cameras
@roccop334374 ай бұрын
I would assume that all the current Z lenses will work well and apsc lenses will be right behind the announcement. If they go full in apsc they won't leave that market to 3rd party lens mfgs.

No worries ... full frame lenses work exceptionally well on DX cameras ... in fact, I love using them on my D500, and would continue in that same mindset if Nikon were to come out with a proper mirrorless D500 successor. Full frame lenses are, in general, more premium than DX lenses, plus, the DX sensor uses the sharper, center of the full frame lenses, avoiding the typical fall-off of sharpness in the outer edges of nearly all lenses. It would take awhile to build back my range of F-mount lenses in the Z-mount, but in the interim, I can still use the FTZ with my cherished, Gold Series, F-mount lenses.

Sounds like click bait, don’t see any need for any APS cameras. Time to ditch DX and concentrate on FF.

Obviously you don't shoot wildlife. That's fine, but for those of us that do, solid image quality with lighter weight and 50% more reach is a no-brainer.
@arnoldbookheimjr77802 ай бұрын
Sadly, I strongly agree. I still shoot with D500's, and want to go to Mirrorless, but right now the Z8 is the only option I'd consider, but I would lose the "DX reach".

@@arnoldbookheimjr7780 Exactly the same here. If a Z80 or Z90 is announced, I'll be on the order list immediately!
