The Nikon AR-11 soft release is a perfect complement to the Zf's other buttons with black tops and chrome trim--and it feels great. They are still in production, so you can buy them new. Great video!

Its great! Make sure you have a dead cat in case its super windy. If its not super windy, oh yes it is excellent for the size.

You finally opened up your Zf lol! I have the same wooden grip and it's beautiful. I have a mother of pearl soft shutter release from Rock and Roll straps and well as one of their leather wrist straps which is very comfortable. I mostly use the manual focus Z mount Voigtlander lenses like the 50mm f1 even though the Zf has great AF. Also use the Godox Lux Senior flash and I love it. I'm starting to use the Zf for video as well but no audio.

@vizionZine I know~! We got the same one when you mentioned about your grip lol. I was like might be the same grip since there isnt much on the market yet. I just looked up the Pearl soft shutter and that looks very unique actually. Fancy. Also with the Godox Lux, I noticed I havent used it since the summer, and the power is still full. It doesnt drain over time like my other flash units. Pretty cool. I plan to do more video testing soon and rigs so stay tune Crank.~!

One thing I noticed about the video on the Zf is that it doesn't automatically reorient for vertical videos like my Lumix cameras do. I have to do it while editing. Unless there is an option in the menus that I don't knoe about.@@theCameraVille

@@theCameraVilleOne thing I think needs to be addressed is that there's a bunch of different mount adapters that look good on respective lenses. For instance, fotasy has a f/g to z adapter that has a chrome ring, I think it looks nice on the older version of the Nikon 105mm 2.5, whereas the AIS version might look better with the Shoten version.

The grip doesn't allow for vertical shooting on a tripod - something I do a lot of now for social media interviews

Big monitor, why? Do you see badly?

The monitor provides video features that your Nikon ZF dont have. Also its useful for filming outdoors on a bright sunny day because the monitor is 1200 Nits and your Nikon ZF is well below half the nits. So yes you are right, you will see badly on the ZF monitor outdoor in the sun, so you if you are filming a monitor would be great for you. Cheers~!
