Sony's pixel shift is garbage compared to Pentax. It does not increase resolution like Sony does, instead K1 increases the color depth, tonality, and overall dynamic range, hence you get that 3d like image.

Many languages have certain rules on nouns, and they have to fit a certain pattern, so they are changed to fit this grammatical pattern. Others might be able to spell the place name the same as others, but doing so would cause the pronunciation of the name to be greatly different, so they change the spelling to match how it would be pronounced. Others have a historical term for that country/land/area that goes back longer than the country itself, and it's stayed out of habit, or sometimes out of protest (land they believe was rightfully theirs still retaining its old name, for example.) Transliteration also presents a huge problem, and is the reason we get some of the changes we have now. Then throwing these things together, it's just for the sake of ease.

Im using the K1ii and DFA* 70-200mm combo and besides the weight, i really like it. Image quality wise personally i cant really say how it could be better - then again ive never used the modern mirrorless, im not into doing precision pixel peeping and finding some micro comparisons, i just like taking photos and the dfa* 70-200mm never disappointed me so far. Anyways, a personal opinion is that if someone is mainly looking for the ultimate sharpness and clinical look, pentax really isnt the brand - and there is nothing wrong with that. Imho its very good thing we have different brands with different photography experiences and characters as opposed to just chasing the same thing.

The bigger picture is also the price point. The lens is 10 years old and cost a lot. $1700 on sale from $1800 retail
@iivarilappalainen9836Күн бұрын
@@theCameraVille The lens is from 2016, so not quite decade old yet, but i get what you mean ...though from my pov it has aged just fine. Obviously its still expensive as its still in the manufacturing and the production costs more or less the same, if not higher - the price will likely only come down when/if a replacement comes and the old stocks wants to be sold out. Frankly i cant say what part of the lens you could call that is somehow aged in negative sense. For the pentax gear that is out there today it works excellently. Though i dont really need them, the gas in me is ofcourse hoping to see new Pentax FF or apsc camera bodies eventually - ofcourse if there will be radically better sensor, it will be interesting to see if the lens would then be somehow hindrance to the newer body ...but i doubt it. Ofcourse anyone who has the cash today, could buy a monster adapter and put this to some brand new sony FF body and start comparing how things look IQ wise with that sensor. Atleast i havent heard anything negative so far. But imho as a bit older guy whose been to computer for many, many decades - computers and cameras are kinda at the same point by now, the times of radical improvements is over. Even the most basic level things are pretty damn good and more than enough for even serious amateur user techwise. Heck the toycamera i bought for my 2y daughter for 20e or so is better than the first digicam i had all the way back then. For vast majority of people the bottleneck really isnt better gear, but learning how to use the existing gear - though that is ofcourse the more boring answer.

How much ev did you turn up the exposure to reveal the shadows for the dynamic test ? I know above +4 exposure compensation the z6iii begins to show more noise, this is not going to be favourable for lots of situations low light especially Astro. From what I have seen any ISO below 800 the ZF is clear winner, especially for -4 to -7 underexposed, as a point the zf can still show readable small text where as the z6iii is obliterated by the noise at about extreme underexposure. Anything above iso 800 they are relatively level, but I feel the zf is a tad better, this is not going to affect most users who use the camera as intended and any underexposure of about -3 ev is fine, but for me is a deal breaker, I would rather have the zf anytime with its back illuminated sensor than a stacked one. I have a z9 and is much better at controlling noise for a 45mp camera.

I don't know if KZbin brings you anything, but as an idea for a video compare the brightness and convenience of false color budget monitors, and since there are no fans in budget ones, conduct an overheating test when they turn off, just those who rent kindergartens, for them I think it is very important when it turns off, usually such people buy Gh6, like shimbol m5, Portkeys HD7H just for this reason (this monitor is unique in that it has a matte finish and 1000 nits brightness, but it seems to me that it has a Va matrix, if you run a knuckle there should be streaks, and it always costs $ 99), but the aluminum shimbol I think it will not overheat. Well, I'm rather talking about the fact that reviewing lenses is very boring, they are very similar. But monitors, tripods, stabilizers, I think this is very interesting, there is something to think about!
@theCameraVille22 күн бұрын
I reached out to Shimbol and other companies but no word from them for a while. Perhaps they found new reviewers for their products as the number of views matter to who they want to invest in. I don’t think my shimbol review pass 1,000 reviews. Sadly it’s base on view performance and if my video doesn’t get the reach an amount of view, companies tend to turn and find others. I’m only focusing on my time to companies who want to get tested. If the reviews don’t favor their product then nothing I can do. In the end it’s really up to the companies if they want an unbias review and testing.
