Nikon Zf with adapted lenses

Thanks for the video - I've been looking all over for someone who has been using the Voight M-mount 50mm f/1.2 with the techart adapter on the Zf.... the lens is so much smaller than the Voigt 50mm 1.0 that is native for Z mount (and it is a lot less expensive to boot) - encouraging to hear that the tecart autofocus is useful, although not always perfect. Honestly, I also just wanted to see how it looked on the Zf as an overall size package, and this affirms that it looks great and is just the size I'm looking for. Thanks for the upload.

Love the content & have subscribed. (Things to fix: the distracting ring light reflections in spectacles, loud creaks from chair, & stop messing with radio transmitter (plug in a cheap lav mic then conceal it.)

You might try the SmallRig grip. It isn’t a beefy grip. Still keeps the form factor for the most part.

Im debating getting the zf. I love old school styling and manual controls. Ive traded my way up to fujifilm gfx 100s. Love it but its big and heavy with no real light options for system lenses. Not sure if i could gp back to xf mount for all my work (have one for uv shots.) Dynamic range and good low light are top priorities. O and fyi try the voightlander 75mm 1.5, theres magic in that lens :)

Too bad Nikon still doesn't allow all adapted lenses to make use of the trap focus function. It's kinda stupid how it can only be used with lenses with autofocus when it's most useful for manual focus lenses. The workaround is to get the TTArtisan 6bit M-Z adapter so any Leica M-mount lens or any lens you can adapt to M-mount can be used with trap focus. Even works with eye detection.

When autofocusing manual focus lenses do you simply use the central focus point and focus and recompose via back-button focusing or does the subject detection algorithm still work? Great video btw, very informative and touches on some quite nitty-gritty points.

I have that lens and I try it on my ZF it’s okay. I still like my Voigtlander 58mm 1.4 and Nikon Z 26mm 2.8 and other z lenses on my ZF

Re: Auto ISO, you can assign a custom button to ISO sensitivity, and then when you turn one command dial, it toggles between auto iso and manual iso, and the other command dial alters the actual ISO value. When you want auto iso, put the ISO on “C” and press the custom button and toggle to auto ISO. It’s a two step process, but that way you will never get “tricked” by a value on the ISO dial into thinking that is the ISO when in auto ISO. When you want manual, just press the custom button and toggle back to manual ISO, and turn the ISO dial to the reading you want. The benefit of this admittedly unnecessary 2-step process (Nikon: JUST PUT AN AUTO on the ISO DIAL!) is that in manual ISO mode, you will make use of the ISO dial which is retro and functional and beautiful, and when in Auto ISO, you are on the C on the ISO dial, which is like a “reminder” that you are in auto ISO.

Awesome sir good review Plz sir make some review about its function,buffer capacity i mean 14 bit 10 or 12 fps take 80 or 100 uncompressed or loseless compressed raw images etc as well as with afs 200 - 500 ed vr lense etc sir. I m photographing wildlife images so no news about z6 3 then considering about it. Plz sir if u would do it it must help me or like me a lot.
