This was a perfect example of wanting to do something very simple and quick and then I got carried away and made a much more complicated thing out of it. Maybe too much for a clothes hanger? I don't regret it and it's a unique piece in the cabin with a lot of interesting details. Having the possibility to build the log cabin myself, what I like the most is being able to do things as they come to my imagination.
Thank you for watching!

The craftsmanship, dedication, and perseverance you share with us and the calmness you radiate are so unique and admirable that you absolutely deserve the beautiful words and credits you get! And how you've filmed it all, from the moment of lifting the heavy logs on your own using your tractor from different angels until today is also beautiful! I still enjoy it and always look forward to the next one. Keep up the good work!

...lep pozdrav izpod Pohorja Nik!

I've watched you from the beginning and there's no denying your talent and gift. Everybody has such wonderful comments, as I did myself, from time to time... However, in regards to this project, I have "No Comment" on the grounds that I will be booed and hissed :) With that said, I hope you're not running out of ideas. If you are, get busy thinking bigger and harder... I know you can do it...

The clothes airer/dryer is a wonderful piece of art. Natural markings by the beetles and then touches of artistry from your wife and children in the macramé ropes. Also, the simple engineering in teh pulley system. Art, engineering, craftsmanship all in one piece. Lovely natural addition to provide a practical and beautiful addition to your home. we also see the kitchen beginning to take shape and we look forward to seeing what you do there!

That wood looks very nice Nik with all the groves that the beetles cut into it. It doesn't matter how long it took you, as long as "You" are happy with it. You will remember all the time you spent to get it just right every time you look at it for years to come and know it was done by "Your" hands. Enjoyed the video and Thank as always.

You'll have to build yourself a large workshop after you finish the bathroom/sauna. If you plan on having livestock and building a barn for them you could make it big enough to include a workshop. I'd love to see you build a huge log barn. With your skills I'm sure it would look amazing. This project turned out awesome. The bug trails through the wood makes it very interesting. I'm looking forward to watching you do more projects of building things you need in the cabin. More furniture maybe?

This is a wonderful addition to your cabin Nik, well done. You use a lot of very sharp tools in this episode - a spokeshave, a sheath knife and chisels - it would interest me to see you sharpen these. Nik please continue to take your time and build your beautiful cabin at your own pace, I've gained so much from watching this build from the beginning. The way you present your videos is unlike so many on KZbin, I enjoy the balance of the building mixed with your observations of the nature, weather and sounds that surround you. Not many people truly leave a legacy in life but your cabin will shine on for many generations to come I'm sure of it. The dedication and care with how you work on the cabin and with your family and friends is a credit to you. Good luck for the future and I look forward to many more relaxing build instalments.

Hello Nik, I'm enjoying every new video of your building process and like you said at the end, your work is inspiring other people ;) I always remember how I "found" your videos, I startet with the 2h summary of season 1. Today I'm looking forward to every weekend, hoping for a new video and I hope, in a nearby future, I will have the possibility to build my dreamhouse too... It is taking quite a lot of time to build it by yourself, but it is worth to see the building process and like you said: there are a lot of things you can do how you want them to be... Keep up your work! It is a pleasure to watch you living your dream! Greetings from Germany!

Since it is on a pulley, I'd put rebar instead of rope, or aluminum or copper pipes on top of the wood to hang the clothes on hangers. You could also put a metal screen on the top of it and dry vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers while the clothes are drying. Gorgeous wood.
