I made the first part of the kitchen, the main structure and the counter top with the gas stove. For the main structure I used the leftover logs and beams and few walnut slabs for the counter top with the stone sink.

You have a very unique approach to the tasks at hand. It's funny how people approach things so differently but can end up with a good result regardless. Those slabs are gorgeous, I can't imagine what they would costs here in the states. I was sharing your pain when the blades broke. I can't tell you how many times I have done similar things myself; I'm so glad you shared that bungle with us Nik. I;m starting to worry about the end of the cabin project but I suppose that it's still a long way off and you will most likely come up with new projects to keep us hooked. This one had some really creative filming techniques or whatever you call them, very entertaining. Thank you Nik. .

So glad to see you and your family again. They sure are great helpers. I would like to pay you a nice compliment. As I have been watching you, something my Grandmother said came to my mind. She said “If you are going to do a job, do it right or don’t do it at all.” I am a 72 year old female that has some disabilities now but I still follow those rules. You are a fantastic master craftsman. I enjoy watching your videos. One thing that I have noticed about you is that you like it quite so you can concentrate on your project. I hope that you will be able to pass all of your skills down to someone special. Keep up the good work. God bless.

I always dreamed about log house. Bought some land by the lake and decided to hire a company to build it for me. And than I've discovered your channel. There is an episode when you talk about Log Construction Manual by Rob Chambers. You said that you've learned everything from this book and this was an eye opener for me. Maybe I could build it myself ? You've made it, so maybe I could too ? Bought the same book from USA, went on Log House building course in Poland and guess what - I'm starting working on my cabin soon :) Thank you Nik, you've inspired me !!!

You demonstrate a great example of doing this kind of work, focusing on the project with minimal interruptions, paying attention to the details, and finishing with excellent results. Doing projects like these aren’t inherently entertaining, but the work you have documented is interesting to watch, to see the great craftsmanship, and learn from. Hopefully you and your family will be enjoying life in the wonderful cabin you’re building, for many, many years. 🌈
