I predict that within a few years, the major schools and conferences will separate from the NCAA and drop the charade that these kids are "student/athletes. They will be classified as employees instead, no different than faculty or administrators. No need for NIL, they'll be on paid contracts, but no more transfer portal.
@SingleatChurch11 күн бұрын
Totally agree, proabably around 35-40 schools, no where near the 70-80 some on SM are predicting. Sorry, but schools like UNLV, Boise st., SMU, etc just would not be able to compete yr after year with the depth of the Mich, Bama's, Ohio st., Oregon, etc. Agree, we need to do something about transfer portal abuse (can't blame the college kids too much for trying to seek out better oppurtinities for themseleves).

Only problem i have with the NIL era is that i wish contracts for players would be a thing. Make it a 2 year contract minimum unless they have received a bachelor's degree, then they can have one more year of active eligibility working towards a master's degree. After completing that, make it a one year contract. Keep eligibility to 4 years, with plus 2 years of redshirt availability. It helps to give some foundation in the beginning. Also makes the programs develop the younger players. Something like this will help make the new era a bit better.

The main reason Mullen was fired as the coach of Florida was due to him losing the locker room. He had his foot out the door looking for a NFL job. Once the team started loosing it was over. When it comes to conference scheduling, as long as strength of schedule matters, schools like Indiana that want to be considered one of the big boys in football are only hurting themselves by avoiding tough out of conference opponents to boost their strength of schedule numbers. Every SEC school will have a tougher schedule than Indiana I think since we’ll all end up playing at least four Top 25 teams in 2025 based on the new schedules that were just released. There’s no SEC bias. SEC schools just play tougher schedules and SOS proves it. Everybody criticized Texas this year but after 13 games and playing Georgia twice we ended up with a SOS of 20 while going 4-2 against the Top 30 ranked teams. Compare that to Ohio State going 3-2 against the Top 30 with a SOS of 50. Finally, Indiana went 1-1 against the Top 30 with a SOS of 74.

Manifesto for Taking Over MattBeGreat’s Channel Introduction: Understanding the Landscape • Brief Overview of MattBeGreat’s Channel: MattBeGreat’s channel is built on authenticity, motivation, humor, and relatability. His content connects with audiences who are looking for personal growth, self-improvement, and entertainment. • Highlight his strengths: humor, engaging storytelling, authenticity. • Acknowledge his audience’s loyalty and the values they hold (motivation, mental wellness, productivity). Part 1: Understanding the Channel’s Core Mission • Mission Alignment: • Matt’s channel focuses on personal development and lifestyle improvement. Taking over this space means respecting the foundation he built while refining and expanding it. • My goal is not to replace Matt but to evolve the brand in a way that feels natural and keeps the core mission alive. • What Works and Why: • Popularity stems from authenticity-his audience trusts Matt’s advice because it feels relatable and genuine. • Humor is a key vehicle for engagement, making serious topics digestible. • Consistency in posting, catchy thumbnails, and clear branding. Part 2: The Approach-How I’ll Take Over • Content Strategy: • Evolving the Tone: Maintaining Matt’s lighthearted tone while pushing deeper, more complex topics-like advanced self-improvement strategies, business insights, and mental health advice-without losing the relatability. • Thematic Shifts: Introducing fresh content categories, such as: • Behind-the-scenes personal stories: More personal anecdotes to foster connection. • Expert collaborations: Featuring guest experts in psychology, fitness, productivity, or even entertainment to add credibility and new perspectives. • Interactive Challenges: Inviting followers to participate in life-improvement challenges and sharing their success stories (e.g., fitness, productivity, mindset). • Video Format Evolution: • TikTok: Quick motivational snippets, challenges, mini vlogs. • KZbin: Longer-form videos diving deeper into topics, discussions, or collaborations. More personal vlogs, thought-provoking content, and Q&A videos. • Series: Launch recurring series like “Weekly Wins,” “Mindset Shifts,” or “Success Stories from Viewers,” bringing in consistent engagement. Part 3: Enhancing Engagement-Growing the Community • Audience-Centric Content: • User Interaction: Host live Q&A sessions, react to comments or user-submitted content, and integrate audience feedback into content creation. • Personalized Motivation: Develop content that addresses the individual struggles and goals of the audience-responding to their specific needs. • Building an Inclusive Community: • Encouraging conversations around mental wellness, motivation, self-care, and overcoming obstacles, ensuring that the audience feels supported and heard. • Creating a brand identity that’s about empowerment and positive change-“We’re in this together” mindset. • Platform Synergy: Cross-promote on KZbin, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter: • Tease TikTok-style snippets of KZbin content to keep audiences engaged on multiple platforms. • Create a strong call-to-action to encourage audience interaction (comments, shares, reposts). Part 4: Innovation-Fresh Ideas to Elevate the Channel • Gamifying the Content: • Introduce motivational challenges, turning lifestyle improvement into a fun competition. E.g., “The 30-Day Fitness/Focus Challenge” where viewers track their progress and share results. • Use rewards like shout-outs, guest appearances, or exclusive content to keep participants motivated. • Content Diversification: • Experiment with vlogs showing a more unfiltered side of life, from struggles to success-creating a sense of realness. • Create “reaction” videos or commentary on trending topics, pop culture, or viral challenges, all tied back to personal development. • Personal Growth Deep Dives: • Move beyond surface-level tips and dive deeper into mental health topics, career development, and spirituality-while staying grounded in the relatable, down-to-earth vibe Matt built. • Create multi-part documentary-style series on topics like “How to Start a Side Hustle” or “Battling Imposter Syndrome” using interviews, research, and real-life examples. Part 5: Leveraging Data and Analytics • Audience Insights: • Study engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments) to understand what resonates most. • Use analytics to adjust the content strategy based on what drives views and fosters community interaction. • Optimize Video Performance: • Tailor video titles, thumbnails, and descriptions to improve SEO and attract more viewers. • Use A/B testing to experiment with different formats, editing styles, and thumbnail designs for maximum engagement. Part 6: Expanding Beyond the Channel • Monetization & Brand Partnerships: • Affiliate Marketing: Partner with self-improvement tools, wellness brands, or fitness companies that align with the message. • Product Lines: Consider launching a brand or merchandise that resonates with Matt’s audience, such as motivational apparel, journals, or self-care products. • Patreon/Exclusive Content: Offer premium content or one-on-one coaching via platforms like Patreon, where subscribers can get deeper access to motivational content, exclusive videos, or personal mentoring. • Collaborations & Guest Appearances: • Podcasts: Start a podcast or collaborate with influencers and thought leaders to expand the brand’s reach and tap into different audiences. • Guest Appearances: Bring in experts for live streams or Q&A sessions. This could include entrepreneurs, psychologists, or even other creators who align with the channel’s vibe. • Sponsorships & Business Growth: • Partner with companies that reflect the values of the audience, creating branded content that still feels authentic. E.g., a collaboration with a mental health app or fitness brand. Part 7: Sustainability-Long-Term Vision for the Channel • Brand Consistency: Ensuring that while the content evolves, the tone remains true to what the audience loves-fun, approachable, relatable, and motivating. • Impactful Content: Always ensuring that the content adds value, provides actionable advice, or encourages growth. • Future-proofing the Channel: • Staying ahead of trends: Embracing newer platforms and video formats (e.g., AI-generated content, short-form video tools, AR/VR) to keep the channel innovative. • Cultivating a strong brand loyalty by staying connected to the community, responding to their needs, and fostering real conversations. Conclusion: The Vision for the Future • A Legacy of Empowerment: Taking over MattBeGreat’s channel is not just about maintaining his popularity-it’s about growing a legacy of empowerment, motivation, and personal growth that inspires people long after they watch the videos. My goal is to evolve the content, engage deeply with the audience, and ensure that the channel continues to be a beacon for those looking to improve their lives. • A New Chapter: This is not an end but a new chapter in the evolution of this platform-a chapter built on authenticity, innovation, and community engagement.

I can live with a Conference Champ guaranteed in, but that shouldnt determine byes. 1, 2, 3, 4 in the rankings should be 1, 2, 3, 4 in The bc Playoff.

Are we really bashing IU's non-conference schedule? Have we looked at an SEC non-conference schedule? And as far as the conference schedule, what are they supposed to do? They have no control over that. With this new 12 team playoff I think you'll start to see the conferences protecting their top teams with how they create conference schedules. The conference and the teams benefit getting into the playoffs. This is why all of this is dumb. There are no controls in place and even if we wanted to put some controls in place, who ensures those controls? Each conference is independent and they are always going to look out for themselves first. It's human. nature.
