শুনে শুনে মন ভরছেনা। পুনে কবে আসবে। অসাধারণ বাজনা।জট শুনছি তত শিখছি। বাগেশ্রী আমার খুব পছন্দের রাগ। খুব ভালো লাগছে।

Devine Tabla by Pt. Swapan Chowdhury. No Jugglery. No show off. No desire to override the Sitar. Just genuine accompaniment.

Great control on volume variations and guitar feeling of guitar like playing in sitar

And followed it up next day with a superb rendering of Jhinjhoti and Tilak Kamod at the National Theatre to frequent spontaneous applause in a country where Indian classical music is hardly known, and where people are generally reserved. Wah!

Fine rendering. He performed it today with Vijay Ghate in Yangon, Myanmar, at the Sedona Hotel as part of the Festival of India or 'India Pwe' organised by the Ministry of Culture of India and the Embassy of India in Myanmar to a very appreciative audience. A highly talented musician.

Complete masterpiece, many thanks for the post. Between 28:55 & 29:20, he goes for a very western-like chord combination ... nice experimentation! Pt Niladri, Kaushiki and a few others are the able torchbearers of the new generation of our rich classical music heritage

Bhinnashadaj torch bearers is a big word isn't it?
@ramyaramesh24423 жыл бұрын
@@MansoorKhan what's wrong in using such big words if they deserve it. We have to be more open and bountiful with laurels and praises to encourage the art form and not always see everything with critical eye in the false pretence of upholding standard when standards keep changing as time changes

+Andrew Are I'm not a newbie, not at all, its been more than ten years of knowledge, and playing raag. I haven't lost my sensibility to sound, I do know it actually increases with time and experience! What I meant was that he touches the sound (he does Whats impossible) I just have romantic way of talking, I guess... I felt really transcendental listening to this. I also know this is a very special raag, very Divine and spiritual. I guess there's nothing wrong about that! Here in Brazil there are only a handful of serious musician dedicated to this music and it's not known to most of the public. I happen to be a simple musician studying and playing these melodious beauties, being very far from any mastery... thank you

Eduardo Ur expressions to Andrew has made me see how best u have rightly felt n understood the great raaga.Mind ceases when certain people like Niladri play after years of sadhana or practice of certain raagas.Unless u r tuned one cannot imagine the great blessing of these raagas

The dictionary meaning "Alchemy, a form of speculative thought that, among other aims, tried to transform base metals such as lead or copper into silver or gold and to discover a cure for disease and a way of extending life" Nothing personal but Sir at 1:08:00 its just sound gimmicky, trying to pass copper as gold, you must have listened to Nikhil Banerjee' All-Time Classic album of Raga Bageshree and many other version floating on the net, even Imrat Khan with Anindo Chatterjee, if not then do listen. You will know the difference, Pure Gold. By praising this kind of gimmicks we are praising the artist and not art.

When I hear a pastmaster, the instrument or the vocal Raagdari talks to me. Communicates with me.( And.Neeladri is undoubtedly a pastmaster! ) Indian Classical Music and Dance catapults me from Dystopia to Utopia.The essence of the Indian Classical. Music and Dance is so all pervasive in my genome.and microbiome that nothing can unseat it from there. ###...I don't think that I am alone here. I have known persons whose hair stand on their ends while listening to Indian Classical Music. Many know the case of Benito Mussolini. He burst into sobs while Omkar Nath Thakur was rendering Raagdari Sangeet in front of him. ###... Imagine my distress then when one fine morning I find that most of my comments on Indian Classical Music and Dance have vanished in a black-hole! ###....Alas! Are there no more Hyde Parks left to air your views? Is Democracy the world over singing a a swan-song? Is loud thinking so dangerous? I am not sure I made fun of Omkar Nath Thakur when I wrote comments on him. Even now I believe.that Omkar Nath Thakur was a phenomenon in classical music. My comments on him we're largely adulatory. But my sentences were laced with satire and humour.( I am not even certain that it was black humour! )And scores .of my comments were axed for ever. Oh my dear Lord McCaulay in heaven! No blockhead ever wrote, except for money, but I did! And got guillotined in return -- and without a French Revolution, too! "Sich is life" .... as a Charles Dickens character would remark. ###.Niladri Kumar is a wizard He has a way with strings!....(47L,) You tube! Be a sooth-sayer. Predict the tenure of this comment!
