George Kollias and Nile, the Annihilation of the Wicked album in particular, was the catalyst that got me into extreme drumming. I remember when this video first appeared on the tv show Uranium. I must have been drooling when I saw his one footed blastbeats. George Kollias really changed the drumming game for me. Lots of respect to him and Nile.

SmokeCheesus That's nice man! There are many bands that I now love (and cant stop listening to) that I used to dislike until I actually paid attention to the music and the technicality behind it. Really what this teaches us metalheads is that metal is not easy-listening background music, some of the more technical bands require us to really pay attention to be able to appreciate their music. Metal is not music to enjoy as a background sound, but it requires attention from the listener in order to appreciate the true depths of the music \m/
@korncows110 жыл бұрын
SmokeCheesus well based that, ill give these guys a chance. I was about to look for something else, ill listen to a full album atleast 1 time through. But I have done that with a lot of bands, dismissed them too early, but when I just put in a album n go about my day I end up getting 'used' to the sound and can appreciate it. Unfortunently, many times I also just had to turn the shit off and mad I wasted time.
