On the Sick and Wrong Podcast, Episode 592, they were discussing metal music with an international flavour and they mentioned the Egyptian-inspired band Nile. Now I am checking them out. I almost expected them to be legitimate Egyptians with Arabic names so I am a bit disappointed that they are not but this still sounds like a pretty good band.

They go through a lot of bass players. They basically just need a session bassist for live shows. Most bass parts are typically written by Karl and Dallas. I do not ever recall seeing a bassist in any of their videos. Hell, Those Whom the Gods Detest was the first album where the drummer actually got to write the drum parts.
Wow Nile always impresses me these guys are tight as he'll. Awesome can't get enough. The riff is so technical that they can switch into conlificting time signatures and back together again.
