I really appreciated the moment for which there were subtitles. Very often I find the music too loud in comparison to the voices, not being a native English speaker, and I really struggle to understand what is being said. I'd appreciate it massively if you put subtitles all the time ! It would also make your videos accessible to Deaf and HoH people, as the automatic subtitles absolutely suck, especially when someone is not speaking in a very clear East coast American accent, or in RP.
@mariemuller32392 жыл бұрын
Omg yessss. So well put. I mean I know that creating the subtitles is more work, but it really helps. Especially because the funniest parts of the videos are often the hardest to understand. And I think we can all agree that we don’t wanna miss those. Their just top tier…

I agree! Im Deaf here and use a Cochlear implant. sometimes its hard to understand. the automatic subtitles work but not at 100%

The UK National Lottery marketing department and/or Nile Wilson's agent should be congratulated on this series! Leveraging social media, a medal winning Olympian, and his family and friends to run through all these different Olympic sports at the actual Team GB sport facilities is genius. To meet some of the UK athletes, and see them perform is such an honor for people likely not known outside their sporting arenas. It is also stunning to read that £30M is spent weekly on the National Lottery. And that a portion of the lottery proceeds are sunk back into important, underfunded, national programs like elite and Olympic athletes training programs. I've been watching the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022, and the USA broadcasters always remind the viewers that in spite of there being no full sliding courses in the UK, the skeleton, luge, and bobsled teams from Team GB are some of the best trained, versatile competitors! Brava/bravo Team GB!

Seriously, Skeleton seems the most insane "normal" sport there is. I can somewhat get behind bobsled, even ski jumping, it is madness, but at some point it was probably just some norwegians skiing down a hill and trying to outdo each other jumping over a small bump on the hill, 6 meters, 8 meters, maybe 10. But who decided "I gonna take this sleigh and go down this hill head first"? That's the big "holy shit" part of it, going down that ice route at 100+ km/h or something head first with your face just a few cm over the ice...

Wow, Olympic Skeleton reminds me of when I raced Soap Box Derby cars as a child in the US! Both sports have similarities of going down a hill as fast as you can while lying on a board. Although with Soap Box Derby you are inside a wood or acrylic box with a steering wheel and a brake. You also compete against 1 or 2 others at the same time. This also brings some questions to my mind...if the skeleton racers are not weighing the same as each other per race then those heaviest have an advantage to win. Do racers try to gain weight without exceeding the maximum? Also, are the racers allowed to point their toes while holding their legs out straight behind them? Or are they required to bend their legs up as you guys did? And finally, were my eyes deceiving me, or did the sled bring you guys back to the top of the hill? I truly would love to know this info! Thank you!!! Great video as always!

If you have the opportunity to watch the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing, you may find the broadcast showing skeleton for men and women happening on Thu. 10/02/2022 and Fri. 11/02/2022! They lay flat, with their heels down, and if necessary use their toes to correct their line of travel.
