Honestly, I kind of relate with you. When I was midway through genshin and decided to tryout spiral abyss and found out it was difficult. I also built the wrong characters for it. After awhile, I realised that I needed to learn about character builds and good team comps, all that stuff. Even until now, I still struggle with floor 12. But at least nowadays, I pull and build whatever character that I like and test with unique team comps but also keeping in mind of preparing a decent one for spiral abyss and exploration. Being able to play around with different teams is one of the main things that made me stay with genshin for 2 years. Sorry for the long paragraph hehe.

If I'll nitpick one aspect then that's her 3 hit NA. It's limited to 3 autos and when her skill is active, she can't do charged attacks. You'll have to keep sprinting to maximize the duration of the hydro-infusion. Which greatly consume stamina. Aside from that, thou niche, I'm definitely enjoying her.

Glad she is very cheap to build like Kokomi. Hope to get her another time but glad to see she is very low investment on Artifacts. But even the Team she needs are here Free to get down the line. Though very funny to see 75k HP and her cons are like Optional like Kokomi was. Her Bountiful Core is restrictive, but it doesn't have special downside as she can work for other Elements for Raw Damage.

10:41 I am using the Toukabou Shigure for Nilou. It is at Refinement Level 5, so does 32% more damage to opponent affected by Cursed Parasol. Makes Nilou very good DPS for me in team with Nahida, Xingqiu and Kuki Shinobu.

Aside from Kokomi and Barbara as steady hydro healers, we still have the Proto-Amber Mona. With high ER and a 5-star heal circlet, Mona's burst can: 1)pin the enemies, 2)buff the bloom dmg with her Omen, and 3) apply first-aid heal that scales to the active character's max HP. All of these happening with consistency if you can manage to pull-off her burst frequently. Mona can use either a heal+ER set bonuses or the 4pc. Deepwood for the dendro res shred. Mona's Phantoms not only taunt the enemies but it ticks hydro dmg rather fast, so stacking some EM would be nice too if the hits do make Dendro Cores. Now if only Bloom damage is included in Mona's C1 info.....

Don't get the Xiphos. It only means anything if you build her for full EM, which you don't wanna do. Iron Sting is any easy craftable alternative. I wonder if her re-run will be like Shenhe's re-run, as in never coming. xD

I got her on 3.6. And that's after Nahida. Why? All i wanted was Shinobu constellations but kept getting fed trash Dori (already C6 prior and then C12 and beyond) and also C6 Layla plus a truck load of random characters/weapons. It's only on the final days did I finally get two Shinobu copies, and Nilou just happen to come along for the ride. Don't worry I didn't spend direct money on Nilou banner, just 100% the whole of 3.6 and events to squeeze every single primogem along with WM, BP, star glitter, and the nicely-timed SA reset. Her play style may be niche but it's certainly refreshing, in a suicide bomber way.

I played since mid 3.6, got dehya twice, nilou twice. In early game, dehya is so tanky she carried me. Now at World lv 7, she barely doing damage. Nilous carries me now with very low investment

this might be a silly question but what happens with damage based reactions such as vape when the triggering elemental instance deals no damage? can the reaction even be triggered or do those types of abilities only apply the element without triggering reactions if other elements are already present. Asking just to see if her skill dance aura actually will trigger reactions and cause the reaction to scale based on nilous EM and in case of vape teams can the aura be the one to trigger the reaction if the enemy is already affected by pyro

Take this with a grain of salt cause I'm not really sure either; I think the reaction will still be triggered, just like if your character is affected by pyro and then gets applied wet by rain (and deals no dmg)

2:2 bloom team prioritizing hydro on dendro to get more bloom cores poses an interesting problem because the hydro units are generally building HP more than EM. i wonder if it's worth using candace's hydro infusion to allow a high EM dendro MC to trigger bloom instead

vv late but basically critical damage (crit dmg) is how hard your attacks hit and they do more damage critical damage shows up as LARGE numbers, however non-critical damage shows as small numbers, which will be a smaller number than critical hits. e.g 70,000 would be a critical hit if it shows as BIG NUMBERS but 30,000k is a non critical hit as it’s a SMALL number critical rate (crit rate) is how often you do critical damage hits, the more critical rate the better 1:2 means you need 50 critical rate and 100 critical damage as a base, you need double the amount of critical rate as critical damage

I love her, but she has a lot of room to grow and I’d put money on it that Baizhu and Alhaitham will work beautifully with her probably as a healer and shielder for the Dendro element. I’m just not a big fan of Barbara so I might opt for her in a vape comp for now.
