I think this is the best version of All Melody. The pads and arpeggios on the Juno 60, the sixteenth notes on the Rhodes piano, the samples on the Melotron, the echo modulation on his synthesizers. This track must be in the museum of minimalist music, such a piece of art.

Nils is quite simply the best musician I have ever heard. I was lucky enough to see him play in Birmingham and it was literally a life changing experience. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. This is probably my most favourite piece of music ever. Thank you.

actually for the past year, i have been doing some beautiful hikes through Europe, and whenever i was going up a steppy hill/mountain, i started listening to this particular album, especially Fundamental Values - All Melody - #2, in this exact order, and it changed my life deeply. I have experienced some of the most glorious moments of my life admiring some bewitching landscapes that became forever marked in my mind thanks to his music. I love you Nils.

He starts with the patches he used on the records and then everything you hear from that point is re-programmed, tweaked and improvised that night, live. This version of “All Melody” has evolved quite considerably from the album version, and you’ll never hear it played quite like this again.
