I experienced Nils the first time at Stockholms Konserthus 1979. I was a fan long before that. I had his sessions with Grin and loved them all. Then, when I heard his first solo album, Cry Tough, I was strucken by the light. It still is one of my favourite albums up to day. It is a classic. I have seen Nils with the Boss and Neil Young since then and he still is one of my favourites. He is among with Hendrix, SRV, Tommy Bolin, Clapton, Freddie King and JJ Cale. Saw Nils for the first time in the early 1980s at the Birchmere, and many times after that as part of E Street. Mid 1990s caught a full acoustic show at The Barns at Wolf Trap - had a whole stage full of black Takamines and was backed by my then-guitar instructor (Paul Bell). The show at the Barns inspired me then and continues to inspire me today. Nils is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, alongside SRV and Tommy E. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world Mr. Lofgren.

To me he really already is one of the biggest, even more musical expression than Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen. They all are supertalented and damn good but Nils knows the best how to touch your heart and ears at the same time and there aren't many of his kind in this world.
