I never saw the colors, so I can’t say his name, but the winner was like a cat. He just couldn’t be thrown off balance. It didn’t matter if he was standing or on the floor. It was impressive.

so in wrestling it's just about weight class and not really by height? like a 4'11 guy weighing 165 lbs can go up against a 5'10" guy weighing 165 lbs?

Technically, that is correct. But, practically speaking, height divergences as large as the example you shared rarely occur because of age divisions and weight cutting.

@@d12kiem7 Of all the rules in the book, weight restrictions are one of the most strictly enforced in order to ensure fairness. If a wrestler weighs 0.1 above the weight class, they must wrestle in the next highest weight class. No exceptions.

It was part of a dual meet. Since the colors remain the same for all fourteen matches, ankle bands are often forgone in the interest of time and efficiency.
