How to knit a perfect sloped bind-off [no more steps!]

This tutorial shows you a simply trick to achieve these perfectly sloped bind-off edges when you want to knit the armholes of a sweater, and so on. The problem with a standard bind-off: You knit one additional row and you can only ever bind-off ever second row. As a result, you always end up with 2 intermission rows between each bind-off level and this is what creates the stairs. To avoid this, you simply have to slip stitches!

I usually choose to do short rows over the shoulders to avoid the steps, but this is a great way to follow the pattern and still avoid steps. THANKS !

Oh, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! 😘I have been knitting for about 50 years now and have ALWAYS been annoyed at the "staircase" that has become when you decrease the sleeves. It becomes so much more difficult to get a nice (invisible) seam when sewing together sleeves and front, back piece.😊
