Thank you very much, it's so much easier to do this way than the way I learn from another video few days ago

So if you do an m1 not learning either left or right, like the first one you did in the demonstration, you make an eyelet? So if you don't want an eyelet you should do m1L or m1R so as to not create an opening? Thank you for a wonderful video.

Çok güzel bir yöntem. Bunu bize öğrettiğin için çok teşekkür ederim. Oyuntuların merdiven gibi şekli hiç içime sinmiyordu. Kolu birleştirmek için dikerken çok zorluk çekiyordum. Tekrar teşekkürler. Videonuzu kardeşime de gönderiyorum.

Hi Norman! Thank you for your videos. ❤ I have a problem with the M1R and the SKL. They do not lean to the right for me but left instead. The left leaning increases are fine. What am I doing wrong? 😢
@nimbleneedlestwoКүн бұрын
KIndly take a look at the swatch at the end of this post: nimble-needles.com/stitches/how-to-knit-skl-slip-knit-lift/ SKL is always right-leaning. you are not doing anything wrong. However, that doesn't mean you cannot use it on the right side of your work either. Lean is NOT the way the slant of the fabric. It's just the slant of the additional stitch you create.

Have been knitting for 65 years. Always been annoyed by the staircase, especially when you have to insert a sleeve. The seam easily gets bumpy. Wow! Amazing. Thank you from 🇩🇰

This was by far the best tutorial for the tubular bind off. I had resorted to the lazy knit bind off because i didn't understand how to do it even after watching vids and trying with swatches. This was easy to follow. Thank you so so much!!!

Thank you. So is the right side an odd number row and the wrong side even? Or does it matter, as it’s a Reversible stitch?
@nimbleneedlestwo2 күн бұрын
this stitch is fully reversible. However, typically the side that starts with two knit stitches is caleld the right side because the edge looks a bit better. But that's just preference.

Hi Norman, thank you for another fantastic video. ❤ I have a question to ask you. M1 and M1L work perfectly all the time. But, sometimes I have problems with M1R. I know that you enter the strand between the needles from back to front, put it on the left needle and knit in the regular way. When I start with say 12 stitches and do my M1R after the 4th stitch in every knit row, I get a right leaning increase. But, if I knit until there are only 4 stitches left and then do my M1R, I get a left leaning increase. What am I doing wrong? 😢 Eva
@nimbleneedlestwo2 күн бұрын
hm...it sounds like you confuse the lean of the stitch with the lean of the fabric. The lean of the stitch is defined by the look of the resulting decrease line. You can absolutely use a right-leaning decrease in any other position as well. It's just that the resulting decrease line will look different.

hi I saw your other video on your main channel for brioche stitch and you suggested to use an odd number of stitches, but in here you casted on an even number of stitches. What's the difference between both?
@nimbleneedlestwo2 күн бұрын
The edge basically. I think I used a different edge stitch for the (very old) video on my main channel

How do you decrease 1x1 rib in the round for a 1x1 rib hat please?
@nimbleneedlestwo4 күн бұрын
It's probably better if you get a pattern for that. But it's most invisible if you always decrease from the ribs into the purl "valleys". So, stop when you are at a purl stitch, and then knit a "knit two together (k2tog"). If you need a left-leaning decrease, then stop before a knit stitch, and use SSK - slip, slip, knit.
@nancycat25884 күн бұрын
@nimbleneedlestwo Thank you very much. I made my own pattern, buy the decreases looked bad so that I ripped them out. I'll finish with per your guidance. Update: it looks a lot better. Thank you.
