Nimrod Origins - This Ultra-Powerful Sentinel Killed Countless Omega-Level Mutants Singlehandedly!

The Marvel universe is full of villains who oppose the X-Men, and have been rooting for the downfall of these mutants for a very long time. Sentinels are the most powerful of these villains, and these androids were created with the sole mission of destroying the mutant race. One such Sentinel was Nimrod, a time-traveling Sentinel created in the future. Created by Chris Claremont, this advanced being was first introduced as a villain in the Uncanny X-Men comics. Ever since, he has been traveling across timelines and has made it his life’s mission to destroy every single mutant who crosses paths with him. Let us explore his origins and follow his misadventures as he hunts mutants across the timelines!

They don't cover it here, but after the whole Master Mold/Nimrod thing that would eventually lead to Bastion, the US government decided to create their own Nimrod (because they apparently DON'T have the Terminator franchise in the 616 universe?). Just prior to the Onslaught event, Cable found the prototype. Basically, the Original Nimrod had seeded various databases with his code, and then he encouraged the humans to make his body and push them further. The amazing thing is, Cable beats the New Nimrod by pulling a Captain Kirk (no, not that two handed hammer punch, the "you are imperfect" Kirk kills a computer thing)! He asks what effect a Nimrod class sentinel would have fighting the various fully functional and alive X-Teams, and it does the Wargames thing of playing out scenarios. I seem to remember that it calculated that taking out the mansion would lead to the cracking of the crust of the planet, leading to hundreds of thousands dead. Once it saw that it's goal of protecting human life was unreachable, it shut down

Actually, from what I recall, it was one of the human scientists that posed the question. I don't recall any cracking of the earth, just that as it ran through the various fight scenarios, it came up with a tonne of collateral damage in the form of human lives lost, so determined that it existing now would cause more human deaths than it would supposedly save, and shut down, then the scientist gave Cable the core, or whatever of Nimrod.

Nimrod is a powerful sentinel, and which is why he faced the X-Men on more than one occasion. It'll be interesting if he joined forces with Ultron. Ultron would convince Nimrod that even if Nimrod wipes out all Mutants, more humans would evolve into Mutants every few millennia. this will lead to Nimrod and Ultron going back in time to 1,00000 BC to eradicate the first humans so Mankind wouldn't exist. This would mean the Mutant X Gene wouldn't exist.

The Fury is described as "the supreme killing machine", and was created via a combination of reality warping and technology, granting it the ability to adapt to anything and everything without limit, making it near-invincible. Its left arm fires energy blasts that are potent enough to kill literally every superhero in its original reality. It even survived the destruction of 2 universes iirc.

Nimrod and sentinels makes no sense. Because how could he basically kill each and every mutant or captured them all. Omega level and beyond omega level mutants and heroes like Franklin Richards that could easily wipe him from existence. Storm who is beyond omega level that can control the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Which can just completely shutdown every electronic, machine and everything else. Magneto, a fully powered Jean Grey with the phoenix force aka God basically. So many way beyond overly powerful mutants and beings that can wipe away existence itself. Yet gets captured or killed by sentinels and nimrod. Please make that make any sense whatsoever. The writers just get bored and just be slapping shyt together.

The Mark-X Sentinels seem more like the Super-apaptoids from other MARVEL series, like the Avengers. This is based on their much more aggressive adaptation abilities, unlike Nimrod, who does not changes shape or textures much if at all when countering mutant or super powers.

Not all models of nimrod are the same that model was a pretty basic one i think from bishops time line if we are thinking about the same fight. Even then she did it by absorbing and using like three mutants powers and it was drained from a fight with juggernaut lol. Even after all of that it reconstituted itself and teleported away so technically a draw. Nimrod is one of them enemy's born to balance some of the OP mutants out there i guess.

Problem with nimrod is how fast hes able to get his feature set up and running in a fight he doesn't have to concentrate, channel, or get creative and by the time hes made himself known hes most probably already scanned you. He has a quantum level of processing and thinking so is one step ahead of his enemy all the time and feels no fear. To make things worse he can duplicate so its unlikely on a one to one many mutants could win in a fight against him. Still it would be a good throw down though.
