This whole thing was stupid. Out of all the lies Carly have told over the years, this was actually legit. And really, it wasn't a lie as much as her not sharing her suspicions. Obviously if Jax wanted people to know he was alive, he would have made himself known. She obviously suspected Sonny had something to do with his attempt murder and kept her mouth shut to protect Jax. I don't understand why Michael had to cause such a scene, and you'd think Alexis of all people would understand.

as the old saying goes what's done in the dark Will always come to the light. Carly is always bashing Sonny but truth is, they're two of a kind. Everyone knows Sonny is no saint, however Carly is constantly using him to deflect and dismiss her own faults. And she uses Sonny and her kids to try to stand on some moral high ground and justify herself when she's not that much different. She lied to her son's face and tried to deflect it using his grief

Carly deserves backlash for a lot of things, but this was not one of them imo. She was trying to protect Jax and her kids. She lied so Sonny wouldn't find and kill Jax, which would just break the kids' hearts all over again. The fact Sonny made it out that Carly was trying to sabotage his name and set him up is laughable. Sonny tried to kill Jax, and he has no remorse here.
