The energy around the crowd when I was down there during this song and even the whole concert, was amazing. When I saw Saul come on stage I freaked out.

I think Year Zero was just mind blowing. The whole album really told the story of what was going on during the years Bush was in office. And in my opinion, NIN's sound hasn't changed all that much. Year Zero may have been leaning towards catchy dance beats but not all the songs were like that and the album was just meant to tell a story anyway. Even if the music became a little more simplistic, theory-wise, its still good and its still industrial. And a lot of the time, simple is beautiful.

I agree with Whatever below, this album is his most underrated. This was his greatest single imo blows away Came Back Haunted

Came Back Haunted is sweet though. In fact, I think Hesitation Marks is his best album since The Fragile, which is untouchable for eternity of course.

Regaurdless of how good or bad you think Trent's newer work is, he didn't sell out. He is still amazingly creative and Survivalism/Year Zero are in no way mainstream, I love how Trent has always done what he has wanted, even though he loves and supports his fans, when it comes to his music, he makes it how he likes it. My point being Trent doesn't give a shit about idiots who think his new music is bad, because it's good to him. (and to me) ;D
