Thank you for this video, helped me out, I made one change where I added a folder for the rotation angle for lights and flats, as I have a rotator and I suspect with will matter for me to help match my lights and flats.

Good call! Once you have a good grasp of how the system works, it’s easy to make modifications like that!

Excellent video, glad that I stumbled across this. Now that NINA v3 has been released they've done away with the Dark Flat option so what would your file path be for Dark Flats now? Same path as Flats?

Personally I have moved away from dark flats (I sold my 294’s). I am not sure where it saves dark flats now, but I would assume it puts them in the dark category. If this is the case, just find them there each time. I am going to revisit this video topic sometime this year now that NINA 3 has been released officially!

Great video. Could you also show us how you configure PixInsight WBPP to automatically match up the Darks, Flats, and Lights when using your file naming system? Thx.

Yes! That will be coming soon. Life has gotten extremely busy and I’ve been unable to make videos for a bit, but I promise there will be a follow-up in Pix!

It's great to be so organized but I see one issue you may encounter. I'm curious how you avoid this issue. If you are sorting your files in folders by date, I usually shoot my flats and dark flats at the end of the evening. So what happens if you start shooting at 9pm local time and you finish with your lights at 3am and then shoot your flats and dark flats. Your lights are going to be split across two date folders but your flats and dark flats will only be in the later date folder.

Date minus 12 solves this problem! As long as the flats and darkflats are taken before noon the next day, they will be in a matching folder date.
