NY vs SoCal food is a matter of preference, it’s like In-n-out vs Shake Shack. In n out has great value and a special sauce, Shake Shack is gourmet and rich

the habit is cali's version of shake shack. in n out is more comparable to white castle or steak n' shake. a good spot is a good spot, but the difference is you can find 100s of good asian/mexican spots in socal and ny is in the 10s.

NYC has great Mexican food if you go to authentic local Mexican restaurants which have better prices but if you go to a white washed Mexican restaurant it won’t be the same, those are usually “high” end places. By the 7 train between 82-103st they have great street and local spots 🙂‍↕️
