my problem with all this post-liberal conversations about gender is that they make this general criticisms of gender critical concepts or trends, but never really propose an alternative. That madman reference is insane, no one who actually watched the show would prefer the way women are treated in that show over how it is today, unless you want a backslide to a rigid patriarchal society.

Illich argues that the decline of what he calls vernacular gender, which can't be strictly defined in terms of binary sex and reproductive roles but can only be illustrated in terms of non-industrialized social-subsistence roles, is strongly tied to the rise of what he calls "shadow work." See his essay "Shadow Work" and his discussion of shadow work in "Gender".

but would it not completely occult that it is at work that the things are their utmost regulated? and there at least you can date you class, without so many checks. in china now apps that permitted lgbt people to date have been outlawed. with nothing else around, i.e. not even common and vulgar bars to meet randomly.
