Very useful tutorial. I am over 40 and my skin is kind of less hydrated now due to fluctuating hormones. I just purchased a cream blush in stick form, a liquid foundation and a lipstick all made from mostly natural and organic ingredients. I want subtle makeup these days and to wear makeup only when I go out for formal occasions or for parties or gatherings. I have found that as we get older, our skin sensitivities and skin needs changes, and our use of cosmetics and makeup needs to change as we get older.

When you were using the sponge, you mentioned that you would discuss the pros of using a brush. All you mentioned was that the specific brush you used had bristles good for buffing. Are there any other pros to using a brush? I reach for brushes first since I find them easier to keep clean but will definitely try using a sponge!

My sponge was dry as it's a very light blush but if you're going for a more dewy finish then you can use a damp sponge :)

Thank you for showing us how especially with the Nars liquid blush...I have this blush in orgasm and just gave up I really didn't think of using my beauty blender. I would love to know how you go in applying a stick blush, I have just purchased the Stila Complete Harmony.
