Hole in 1 is the easiest by a country mile, people hit them on courses all the time and have been playing golf for a matter of weeks. (Not because they have managed to be amazing at golf in a few weeks but simply the fact it's 1 shot and more likely to get lucky with 1 shot) Snooker you would have to be perfectly lucky countless times to hit a 147 with positioning etc, I'd defo say a 147 is 100% the hardest of the 3 followed by a 9 darter and then the hole in 1.

Disagree, you can hit a 36 perfect shots in golf and not one of them goes in. Hit 36 perfect snooker shots you make a 147. Obviously for amateurs Hole in 1 is easiest.

The question makes no sense tbh. Which one is harder for *me?* I don't play darts or golf, but a 147 is probably still so much more difficult for me than the others. More chance of fluking 9 darts or fluking one shot on a short par 3. If the question is, which is harder for a *top pro in the respective sport,* then probably a hole in one, if by hardest you mean, using skill, as amateurs can fluke it as often as the pros could. But, if its down to luck, is it necessarily more *difficult?* Dunno. 9 darter is hard for a pro darts player, but probably easier than a 147, as its 9 shots vs 36 shots. If you did this test with snooker players in the 70s or 80s, it could have potentially gone on for days without a 147. The fact of the matter is, the top 20 pro snooker players today are a million miles above the average amateur player and the pros of the 70s & 80s. A decent amateur player today would have a good chance playing against someone at the level of a 70s professional. Pointless debate. Like saying who was better: Di Stefano or Messi. Played in completely different eras and different conditions. The debate is a non-starter.😂

We are talking about the world's best doing the occasional 147. Hole in one can be fluked by someone as bad as me. A nine darter I have seen done by someone who isn't even a pro so I think that tells you that the 147 is hardest

Im a darts over snooker guy, but a 147 is easily the most differcult. A hole in one is luck over practice, of course, the more you practice the more luck you get. 9 darters, while obviously differcult, is 9 throws where your arm action doesnt change, just your aim. A 147 could include different variations of shots, like long potting, screws, follow throughs, traces of side, splitting the pack etc, plus its 36 shots. I used to play county darts and have been 5 darts into a 9 on a few occasions, and ive even seen a 15yr old hit a 9 in practice.

9 darter is by far the easiest. The board doesn't move. 9 throws. 147 or hole in one is a tough choice. Hitting a golf ball 200 yards into a hole little more than 4" in size, with wind and other elements is a staggering achievement. A 147 is different every time, as the position of the balls means that no two frames are the same. 36 pots.

Hole in one has multiple outside factors and human factor to evaluate...9 darter is no room for error....147 you have the room to manipulate the white into a better position following on from being out of position in the previous shot...all very difficult and most won't achieve in a lifetime.
