I have so much fun watching you all 💕 My husband and I are still thinking about RV's to have weekly trips with when he retires in a few years and I am learning so much from you and your travels as well as how to take care of the RV's themselves. Keep videoing for all of us out here. Thanks, Cheri

Just love your videos and loved the destination trailer. I actually own that same model and I just love it. I feel I didn’t have to compromise in space nor storage. I can get in the lofts pretty good. Thinking of getting rid of the recliners they are both broken because the handles with cords to recline are cheaply made and can’t find the right ones to fix it. So those are going out soon and replacing with something else. I can fit a whole turkey in the oven. It looks small but it’s not.

I have discovered a new pet peeve with RV's. I hate, hate, HATE the second door into the bathroom from the bedroom. It wastes space in the bedroom where you could have a TV wall hookup, and rearrange the bathroom to the point you could fit a full shower instead of a corner one. It wastes 2 walls all so you don't have to walk an extra 2 feet to use the main door.

I've been watching KZbin videos for over a year now I came up with a scenario you might be interested in because you have family the problem I noticed is RV parks will turn you away if you're a vehicle / camper whatever is too long so I came up with a scenario to beat that to buy a bumper pull and the one I picked out is 321 SE bunkhouse there's two entries and the main entry has a pantry well I noticed it's fairly big which means you could put a stackable washer dryer or a combo washer dryer in mirror said another space for another pantry to the left of the the kitchen sink but you have to request somebody build it pantry slide out drawers that's what I recommend anyways that particular camper is 36 ft most RV parks want you to be 35 ft or less but here's the kicker get a truck camper for you and your wife and that would be your space and you can modify it to accommodate your all-around space like for example remove the refrigerator they have in the truck camper put in a chest freezer and now you have a 35 to 36 ft of camper with a about 50 foot scenario RV park people ask you how long is your camper you could say 35 ft I don't think most Rv Parks include the length of the vehicle because you are driving it around and if your kids are older you can leave them there and go somewhere else and boondocks in your truck camper and I have a couple other ideas too that are awesome if you want to hear them let me know ?

The openings on he top and bottom of the doors in some campers are designed that way for air flow for the particular style of HVAC system installed.
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
We've heard other people say that. We only see that on cheaper campers though and we definitely don't like it. Too big of a gap for noise and other things 😜🤣

Five2Go we have a Rockwood. We are not full timers but camp a lot. The Rockwood is very well built with aluminum framed dinettes, pocked screwed cabinet construction instead of stapled, solid doors on cabinets, laminated walls and ceilings, etc. Well built yet mid priced. However there are the high flow fans in the main area and the bathroom. You need the openings on the bathroom door to accommodate that. My brother and sister-in-law have an Imagine bunkhouse with spaces above and below the doors. Nice unit but the dinette already came apart because of cheaper wood construction. Yet Imagine is priced higher than Rockwood. Speaking of cheaper models...Keystone, now that’s cheap. 😉😊. Thanks for the great tour. Nice to see family models toured other that high end motor homes.

I agree, I don't like how the long couches don't have arm rest! If they had arm rest I would love having all that lounging space. I would be fine not having a dinning table. But once again I love the destination trailer... Thank you for taking us all around the show!! I feel like I was there with you...
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
Erin would LOVE the huge armless couch, but no thanks! Maybe some flip down arms as a compromise? 😜 Lots of those models with the long couches have spots for tables to go in the floor so you can eat or work on the couch. That way you're not necessarily losing your dining table.
@lisawinters46815 жыл бұрын
@@Five2Go I definitely agree if there was some flip down arm rests and I would be very happy and I do like the tables that you can store away and then have the lounging space.. But I really think that I have the same likes and dislikes as Erin and you... I hope you and the little are havi g a great time in Florida. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!! These videos were so helpful to me. After watching all of it the only things that seemed to even come close to your grand design were all of the open range models in this video. They were my favorite and actually well thought out. Thanks again!

Open Range is definitely a nicer brand with some good floor plans. Grand Design still wins in build quality and customer service though. We still don't think anyone has come up with the perfect floor plan for a family of 5-6 yet though... Thanks for watching along, and remember - there are two more videos to come from this show! 👍😁👍

So very intriguing floor plans. The one destination one with the bunk rooms is a neat one but only for the young. LOL. I can't imagine making up the beds or getting up there to vacuum or put up clothes. And with that huge window right by the stairs, I would fear someone tripping and crashing through it. Would probably never happen but.... and as for the extra half bath in some of the models, when your daughter is a year or two older and starts worrying about her complexion and her hair and her eyes, etc. you will be glad she has one to use! Thank you for sharing all these great floorplans and giving your opinions on usage.

Would be nice if you show the prices on the unit that you looked at
@Five2Go4 жыл бұрын
We don't like showing prices on RVs because they vary so much depending on where you are, what time of year it is, what dealer you're at, etc. One of the ones in the video could've been 30k here at the show but 38k on the same dealer's regular lot and then 45k at a dealer in another state. If you see a model you like, you really have to look at the prices near you.

Hey guys, if you have a chance and there's one at the show you should do a full walk through on a Jayco HT 324BHTS, we have one and love ours. I'd be curious to get your thoughts. We went back-and-forth on the Grand Design 308 BHTS, 312 BHTS and Jayco 324 BHTS. Although all three are very similar the Jayco just stood out to us more. We have the full stadium seating without the dinette and yes Brian they have armrests 😜. It also came with the full BAL auto leveling system. The Jayco doesn't have the washer and dryer hookups and yes the kitchen is on the opposit side which I don't like either but over all it's a pretty kick*** trailer.
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
We'll check it out! There's a camping world across the street with Jayco's on the lot. Looking at the 360 view on their site, it looks like a nice rig - very similar to the 308.

@@Five2Go JAYCO REDHAWK 31XL We saw it online and loved it but wonder if it's tiny like the other class C you went through with the bunks.
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
Oh, we like that one! We looked at both the Redhawk and the slightly more expensive Greyhawk 31FS with the same floor plan when we were in Texas last year and were impressed. We'd totally have the Greyhawk in our top 3 list if we were getting a Class C. We can't speak to quality though - we've heard good and bad about Jayco towables and we haven't heard anything about their C's. We like that layout though, it's a good use of the available space.

No more ice in door for us.Virtually impossible to winterize. I want the master bed on the passenger side so loud neighbors aren't as likely to bother you.
@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
Interesting - I never thought about the east-west bed meaning you're closer to loud neighbors. I imagine they don't do them the other way because of the normal passenger side hallway layout.

@Five2Go5 жыл бұрын
When we're looking through this many RV's, and with no intention to purchase, it's really just a cursory look and to get a sense of how everything feels at first touch. Our goal for this show was to focus on floor plans over pretty much everything else, which is why we didn't go into prices or weights or other important numbers. We really just wanted to show the wide variety of what's out there from as many manufacturers as we could. We're going to try and do some closer looks at the models we liked if we can find them at nearby dealers, and then we'll get into more details like build methods, capacities, weights, dimensions, outside storage, features, options, etc.
@sugametal1755 жыл бұрын
We actually prefer the large couch and dislike the separate dinette. To each their own, right? :)
