So... Trent shared this video and said it was incredible. As you might guess that's the best compliment I could ask for this project. Answering his question, you pull this off with time and love for the music, but an awesome live show like this one makes it much easier. For those who are interested, the idea was to create something similar to the And All That Could Have Been DVD, that was composed with footage and recordings from multiple shows to create the illusion of a single concert. For this one I used lots of video footage of shows from all over the world uploaded to youtube (all the channels where it came from are listed at the credits) and the audio is taken from some awesome IEM recordings by tooldvn from three different shows in New Orleans during this tour that you can download in high quality at ninlive.com

For a fan-made recording of this show, the multiple camera angles (you had to have planned this out) and most importantly the AUDIO is totally excellent. It's cool that Trent pimped this out in his newsletter himself, but on the strength of this show, I hope he releases an official concert blu-ray after the tour resumes in 2021. The last show released officially was Beside You In Time and there's been so much great new material since then. Do it, Trent!
@andythompson19544 жыл бұрын
I don't think he will ever do an "official" Blu-Ray again, he seems well into letting fans make their own concerts, he has before put up HD vids of the bands shows online to let fans edit together their own sets and I think he will do again- which I think is an awesome approach to it- his soundtrack work seems to mean his attitude towards NIN is now something he does for his own enjoyment and more importantly for us fans our pleasure too- long may it continue

Bookending the Bad Witch tracks with the Lynch/drum and bass of Perfect Drug and the Bowie tribute is some fantastic contextualizing for that record. This video is amazing, and a lot of it is the choice of what songs to keep.

Constructing the setlist and doing the audio transitions to make it feel like a unique performance took almost as much time as the video editing itself
