One of the reason a lot of the instrumentals I post have vocals or aren't adjusted/enhanced is because I like hearing the things that aren't noticeable. There's an awesome mini solo on my Adema Planets Remastered upload that was buried in the mix, that really surprised me when I first noticed it.

He's got a few things going on here. It sounds like a pretty harmonically rich sound like a supersaw or something, that's got a quick envelope on the filter. He's also turning down the cutoff as it progresses. Perhaps he's got two envelopes on the filter, a fast one that triggers every note and a slow one that triggers every bar.
