As for why I say "puke the name of Christ" is because when every 3rd word is "Jesus" or "God" it becomes either unbearable, or an absolute joke to anyone outside the religion.

I know I do, I believed once but too many things have happened to me and in this world for me to think "oh it's just God testing me" it feels more like torture. But if God brings you joy or hope or meaning, then honestly you're free to believe. Just as we're free to not. And we should each respect that for the other. Don't get me wrong, this is a good song, I like it. But I'd probably like it less if it were more overtly religious.
