Omg!! your brilliant. i just repaired my segway es2. One of the magnet on the brake leaver side was in between the spring. After removing it and glueing it back into its original place. I crossed my fingers and turned it on!! The Error code was gone!! Thank you very much for this video.

This worked, I had a bag hanging over the handlebars and it was occasionally putting some pressure onto the e-brake and it ended up with a error 15. I followed these directions (including previous video) step by step and it worked out! one of the magnets was stuck to the spring, just like ya said! good video! 420 miles on my ES1

Riding my es2 last night when I hit a kerb and suddenly I get the error 14 message. Luckily i was just near my home when it happens.. Followed your instruction to take it apart and put it back and it works.. Werid thing though, magnets are in place but I am not sure about the springs.. Anyway, it is working now and thanks for saving me.. 😂

It's probably worthwhile to add that sometimes you will crack open the throttle and/or brake and see nothing wrong. The magnets are absolutely glued to where they're supposed to be and the springs appear to be completely in position so these just can't be the problem. On the plus side, after all that work, I put it all back together and my Code 15 disappeared. Maybe the wiring harnesses are a tad loose and this reconnects them. As I've seen posted elsewhere --- and well-engineered things should not work this way --- sometimes you can bounce the scooter up and down and the codes disappear. That happened the month before when I had a Code 14. Accidentally let the scooter fall sideways onto the garage floor, and, again, the problem magically disappeared.

i had a huge rattling noise problem, found out it was the back wheel cover is becoming loose. most likely a bolt snapped from the threads. i completly ripped off the loose part put super glue and shoe goo and held it back in place for 2 minutes and shes solid no more rattling.

thanks - the push in and down part was really hard and I just pushed in and a little plastic broke up from another place not the 4 things but from inside - but still works and the speeder works fine now - I think the spring was loose and just putting in place made it work again

Sick video dude , thanks allot. After I pulled it apart I found that the hall sensor has actually broken due to a stack. Anyhow I'm ordering a new throttle but was wondering if I could use the brake sensor in place as it's a few weeks for delivery. I was going to switch connectors to suit but then I'm thinking that the control unit may pick up that the brake has been disconnected so .. do you know whether that will stop it from working or I need to bridge the brake sensor ? Thanks! Fixed my ES2. How humiliating to be left with a beeping scooter when I wanted to head home - had to walk. I was just downtown to get a kebab but on the way down it started acting strange. Not breaking just letting go of throttle. Had I only not turned if off while waiting for my food I could probably have made it home without walking. Bad design. Or at least bad gluing. Inexcusable for such an expensive toy.

@@potetofries I remember is was sort of auto braking on way out. I turned it off (big mistake) while waiting for my food. When I wanted to head home it just beeped when turned on and showed an error code (can't remember which).

Do you offer any support in troubleshooting? It had no throttle response from out of box but we flashed it and it worked well until it was wrecked by my daughter. I had to take steering apart and re center wheel and found the 4 pin wires frayed and severed. I soldered and heat shrinked all then reassembled, and all works but throttle even with re flash... less than 3 week old.

I am having a front wheel breaking issue. Can you help with tips on how to repair ES1 kickscooter. My ES1 electric brake has been locking on its own at times while riding also while I walk with it. As I ride and press the electric brake, it causes the wheel to lock hard and forces me forward. I purchased my ES1 at Best Buy in 2/17/2018. I do have the extended warranty with Best Buy, but their process is by giving a new ES1 in exchange or pick another product. I did not want to get another brand available but decided against it. I am a big fan of Segway ES1 and may have caused a trend in my neighborhood due to the item being out of stock. I am still under the 180 days manufacturers limited warranty. Hi, I have had problems with my sons scooter ES 4 it just would not switch on one morning so I ordered the round board with switch and speed etc but it was still the same dead, then I ordered the main board, fitted that and now it switches on OK but it had error 14 . I just got my Ninebot ES2 with an extended battery yesterday, and after some use I randomly received error code 42 "External battery communication error". It seems to occur entirely at random when the scooter is not in motion, and appears to temporarily stop when the external battery is pushed/bumped into. The screws were tightened properly during installation and as described in the manual. I guess the only thing I can on my own is attempting to remove the rubber stoppers (hiding the screws) and attempting to tighten even more, although I believe it won't resolve the issue. I'd like to look know what I may potentially do myself before returning the scooter, as I'd have to send it and be without one for quite some time when I do. I also wonder how to remove the rubber stoppers without damaging them, if possible. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I had the same 14 error on Xiaomi M365 pro and bought a new Trottle, but after seing this video I tried your method. I solved the issue when seing inside that those 2 magnets were in place . I used 2 others magnets to "recharge " the throttle for 30 seconds . Surprise !!!! The old throttle worked . So it was a blind try and worked . Now I have 2 throttles good to go . Perhaps those magnets lose somehow the proprieties , I don,t know . My magnets were in the right places when I got the error .

My new Ninebot Max starting giving me error 15. Wouldn't move. I did something a lot simpler to solve it: Remove the top cover piece, loosen the circuit board and make sure the wires underneath are not touching, they should all hang loose with no tension. Then screw back on the circuit board and cover. That solved the problem.

Yes, this process is the same whether it's for the throttle or for the break. If you connect your scooter to the app, it will tell you what the error code means.

** ERROR 11** Hi. I can't find any posts online anywhere on my issue. My ES4 (purchased Aug 2019) randomly doesn't function (error 11 - "Motor A phase current sampling error, please check master control"). Happened a few times earlier, but later could boot as normal whenever it feels like it. When error occurs, it doesn't power up, it doesn't charge, leds flashing and beeping. Tried throttle+brake+powering on/off several times. Not sure if it needs a motherboard replacement as it sometimes works as normal. I have the ES2 with external battery installed. Can't rely on this thing taking me there and back anymore, any advice greatly appreciated!!

It's doable; really hard to explain though. I was confused at first, too, but then I looked at what the parts looked like AFTER he separated the two. You don't need a screwdriver or any sort of flat edge. your fingers is good enough; you're literally pressing three plastic arcs together. These plastic arcs are keeping these two pieces together using outward force (if you've taken apart plastic vehicle panels, you should know what i'm talking about). If you press them inward, it will do the trick.

Hey Guys. Thanks big time for the video. One of my magnets was loose. Glued the magnets in place... now I have another issue. On starting, I get error 14, but it goes away if I hit the throttle. But when I (try to) ride, I get some crazy issues. I kick off, hit the throttle, and the motor runs full acceleration even when I let go of the throttle. I tested it by kicking off, jumping off scooter, engaging motor, and taking hands off the throttle, and the motor goes full acceleration. Do you have any idea what would cause this? Thanks guys

Yes you will need to remove the Throttle from the handlebar in order to replace it.

Hi if the magnets are in the right position, then that means the throttle itself is just not working, you will have to replace the throttle itself to fix error 14.

I have an error 18. Cant find support anywhere so hoping for the best from KZbin. 18 is a motor hub, control board, or cable error. The scooter shakes and vibrates violently and loudly when the throttle is activated. Pulling the control board I see no immediate signs or smell of burn or overheat. The cables seem to have been seated well and also no immediate sign of burn or extra heat in them either. Has anyone else experienced this violent, un-driveable vibration, and if so would the problem be located in the motor hub or on the control board? Thanks in advance.

@@tonygts1 My roomate got ES1 (250w) scooter the other day. I swapped out my entire steering tube (ES2 - 300w) (battery, control board, display) onto his scooter and gave it a test. No more vibration. I am now fairly certain it is the wheel motor and I am currently looking for a 300w motor at a decent price. Beware that many of the motors out there are 250w motors. Bro, when I connect meter cable to controller not on the bike only charging show on display and no any thing work. After connecting the meter cable, controller is given RED light permanently, if I can performed hard reset, then green led blinked one long and 4 short blinked with beep. That's Error 14?

Mine is not the magnet issue. The tiny piece between the spring and the cylinder (near the screw) broke. There are three metal pieces sticking out of it.... I'm thinking of soldering those metal back together. P.S. After making sure I watched the previous video, I accidentally removed the throttle when instead the break. I forgot.

The one I returned didn’t at all and this has me very concerned. It flashed so fast on the dash I almost didn’t see it but it was while trying to accelerate on flat land.

@@mariellamelmed3981 I actually just put it back together and it worked fine, the error went away. I made no changes at all, just took it apart and put it back together. It's possible a wire came loose. The error started after I crashed the scooter at 12mph.

Yes, I’m able to turn on/off manually. The problem is when I charge it. when is fully charged, it won’t turn off, even when I unplug the charger, it automatically turns on.
