Regardless of what they wrote the song about, it can be related to in many different ways, which is the beauty of art. It seems to be about a romantic relationship, but even with that said I still find it relates to me in a very personal way. My older brother killed himself and I don't think he knew how much I needed him or that I never gave up on him. I have to survive without him, but I am always wishing he was here.

i think the reason everyone hears 'seven nineteen' is because maybe she might be saying " 'cuz i've got nineteen stars " pretty cool song but Monster is by far my fav of their songs. their songs are so awesome. their songs actually mean something and are mentally stimulating.

@MrGinsburg Excuse me, but i listen to nickleback, and ICP AND Meg and Dia. Each group has meaning behind their songs, Meg and Dia's song Yellow Butterfly is about a mother who loses her daughter. In ICP their song 'Let's go all the way" (if you actuallly watch the video) shows that you dont have to be like everyone else, you dont have to be exactly the same you dont have to be perfect and to just be you and go all the way with being you. So before you insult, Know what your gonna insult first.

It's based on a novel called East of Eden where a boy abuses and rapes a girl, then lights his bathtub on fire with kerosene and commits suicide. Yellow Butterfly is about a mother whose child falls into a river and drowns. Meg & Dia's songs are a lot more meaningful and deep than you're giving them credit for. They definitely don't write about the same things as everyone else.
