Can someone who REALLY knows soccer explain that first clip to me? Even in FIFA the video game I’ve never understood how this isn’t offsides. I need an explanation

I'm not an expert but if you look at 0:03 Bruno is clearly not in an offside position. To be offside, you need to be both closer to to the opposition goal line than the second last opponent (Bruno clearly is) *and* the ball (Bruno clearly is behind the ball). Both conditions need to be true at the same time. One is not enough. It's worth noting that being offside is not in itself a problem. It only becomes an issue if you're offside *and* become involved in play. What defines "involved in play" is where it becomes a debate. It can become extremely technical (even professional footballers make errors), and its got down to measuring if one pixel of a player's foot is ahead of the ball/2nd last player, but the spirit of the rule is to prevent a game where footballers are trying to hang around the 6 yard box winning 50-50 long balls to score goals. If you get the spirit of it, then the technicalities becomes easier to follow.
