We've finally reached a point where people around this world are testing the limits of what the instruments they grew up with are capable of. Record everything, even if we can't figure out where it goes or what it represents, scream it out to the stars... Music might be what outlives us all. It's the language that doesn't need to be explained. It just needs to be felt.

I know that this music comes from a land on the other side of the world from me, but I connect with it immediately and it reminds me of home in the American west. The minor pentatonic scale is the secret to good music. @@Sars_007 Okay, the shortest version I can do: The blues became rock n roll through people like Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Little Richard, etc. but it became a cultural phenomenon through white American southerners like Elvis. As it moved out of the American south (ignore the Chicago blues--that was African Americans from the south who had relocated) into the rest of America it lost much of the African part of the blues and became more aligned with European-derived musical traditions. Then it got filtered through English musicians who loved rock n roll but didn't have much cultural understanding of it and we get the Beatles and the more blues-happy folks like the Stones and Clapton. Again--further removed from African elements and even American elements. Then slightly later, when metal is born with Black Sabbath, the blues element of rock music is pretty subdued and European classical elements fill in the void. Ever since then the trend has been more dramatic and less bluesy. The European classical music fuses with it pretty naturally.
