But how much oil? I've got conflicting information from 3 different manuals. I think it's 3.6 quarts if you also change the filter. And how should you check the window? When it's running? Because 3.6 quarts shows over the top line, I think..

Remove filter and drain oil. Line new filter with oil and fill a jug with 1 litre of oil. Pour oil from the jug into the filter so the oil sits just below where the thread will be as you turn it horizontally. Make sure the filter is tight. Fill the crankcase with the remainder of the litre from earlier than add 2 more litres. Run the engine for a minute and recheck the level after 5 minutes to allow the oil filter to fill with oil.

Changed oil n oil filter. For some reason bike loss power. I own a 2007 Ninja 500r

Nothing directly related to changing the oil should have an effect on power. Did you put too much oil in it by chance?

Would 15w50 be an ok choice to put in my 500r ?

I would check the manual. Ambient temps dictate best oil.

gasoline mixed with oil in the crankcase why maybe you know

Carbs are leaking and running gas down into the cylinder while the bike is not running. The gas eventually flows by the rings and into the crankcase. Rebuild the carbs. That would be my guess anyway.
