I guess I had the extreme blockage. 2 hours of continuous clean cycle, having to hit the clean button over and over when the “death beeps” start. 5 pots of vinegar, used over and over over. And for a last ditch effort, I used a straw, wrapped a rag around the area where the reservoir meets the intake port, and blew thru the straw forcing any blockages to pass. Basic Angioplasty to the damn thing!!! Opened up the valves, blew the clogged arteries open! Worked like a charm.

Another tip: the problem with mine appears to have been the little rubber flap that covers the air release hole at the bottom inside the reservoir (on top of the little dome thing). It didn't want to let the air bubbles out easily enough and thus was severely restricting the flow rate. Cleaning wasn't the issue, as I only ever put R.O. water in there, it seems like it was just the little flap... maybe getting stiffer over time or being slightly sticky. thing is it seems completely unnecessary... you can just flip it up and turn it to the side a bit and it won't restrict the bubbles at all. or you can preserve it's function but work it a bit by bending the flap up to an extreme degree, loosening it up some. and/or clean the flap and the plastic beneath it that it contacts. we were about to throw ours out too so I'm glad I discovered this.

This is perfect thank you! For the first time in 4 years my ninja wouldn't brew coffee today and my heart sunk. I immediately looked it up and your video saved me! The water reserve on mine has a broken part that just sits in there so I can't remove it freely without water pouring out from the bottom, so when it didn't work today it reminded me to check the status and low and behold someone at home jostled it without re-centering the part so the machine of course yelled at me with its beeping and refused to brew 😅 not quite the same issue, but similar in matter. cheers ☕

ALTERNATIVE FIX! I had this problem and this solution didnt work. My machine is perfectly clean. I emptied the reservoir and ran the machine 3 times to flush whatever water out that is inside. @fishsquishguy18332 жыл бұрын
You can tell by the build up on the outside you have hard water. Got to run multiple cycles of white vinegar and then thanked the reservoir off and get a straw and a wet paper towel to seal and try and blow through where the water goes when it leaves the bottom of the reservoir. With the basket off, you’ll get a bunch of build up out. This is the easiest way without taking the machine apart. Also run your cleaning cycles when the light comes on and try not to postpone it. These were great machines. I went through 2 in 8 years but they’d brew at least 3 pots per day 365 days a year. Only problem was the shut off on the drip basket. If you flip it over there’s a Phillips screw in the center. Remove and don’t lose the little spring. With it apart you can see how the lever operates an internal arm with a magnet that operates a switch in the machine when the basket is in place. I use a small magnet and super glue to repair, put back together and it’s lasted years. No cost or parts needed too which was nice.

The problem is mineral buildup. After cleaning as described in the video.Fill the water reservoir with white vinegar, place a empty filter in and repeatedly run the vinegar through until it remains brewing as it should. Then run it through a couple more times. you'll find the mineral deposits in your filter. Afterwards Rinse out the reservoir and filter holder. place a new filter in and run the water through several times to flush out the vinegar. Works for me every time. Hope this helps.

Yes this is the fix. The small hole at the bottom blocks up with a slime and if you scrub it out with a bottle brush it will then work as it should. Too bad the manufacture can't figure that out. Also the water tank is dishwasher safe on the top shelf only. The maker of the product can't afford to print that cleaning tip in the instructions. Too bad!

But the second part that sits under the filter is not allowing my coffee to drop into the cup. @npolite222 жыл бұрын
Ok so to fix this issue here is what I found. I tried everything and nothing fixed this. What I did was added a cup of vinegar to reservoir. I then ran the clean cycle until I got the 5 beeps and the coffee maker stopped. I then took off the reservoir and that little plunger that is on the base where the reservoir mates pushed it for around a minute. Water will start pouring out of it. Continue to clean it off until you no longer see any water. Fill the reservoir up with 2/3 vinegar and run the clean cycle. If you get all of the way through it then you have fixed it. This a design flaw and bottom line to stay away from these. The issue will come back again. All non Ninja coffee makers I have owned have never had this type of issue. I own the Foodie and it works great but now question if I would ever buy another Ninja product.

The most effective solution appears to be throwing this useless piece of s...t into the garbage and buying a better machine.

The negativity may kill you in the end. These are great coffee machines.. they are strong and robust. Most of the problems with them are due to hard water and a lack of being cleaned and maintained. They are very intricate machines that brew excellent coffee, but as said, they need cleaning and care, especially if inundated with hard water on a daily basis for years on end.
