Easy beef stew. in the Ninja Foodi! Cheated a bit by using a gravy mix at. the end but so good! Thanks for watching!

Hi Lisa. I think I heard Aunt Ruthie laughing out of her seat when you said it's starting to get cold. Another great video. I also use that bottle of brown gravy for flavoring in soups stews even in my stroganoff and italian sausage and peppers. thanks for the recipe. I always like your seasonings recipes. Hi Denise, yes she giggles in the phone when I tell her the temp especially 2 weeks ago when it got down to 32F. My mom used to use the liquid- I’ll have to pick some up- thanks Denise!

When tasting something hot, i use a plastic serving spoon or plastic Chinese soup spoon. It won't burn your lip. Loved your video. I'm making it for get together tonight!

Hi Daily Comfort-have to admit didn't feel likening the flour thing-lol. That was the first time I used the gravy mix and it came out well. Just bit salty but that can be remedied by using no to low salt beef broth and to salting the stew beef. Oh aunt Ruth would of loved it! Thanks Daily Comfort!

works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside kzbin.infoUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again.This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.

lol, lol, lol- Hey Truth Hurtz-the stew was really good-biscuits amazing! I pick those up for my father so he can make biscuits. Just easier for him and quick. So go get the "Buck a Bag Biscuits"-sorry. I'm still smiling about this-lol

Looks really good!! I still haven't used the pressure cook function of my foodie and think this is going to be the first meal I try. You always make me feel like I'm right there in the kitchen with you!! Love your videos :)

Wish you were I need more people to eat everything I make! 😜😜. Give it a try- if using gravy mix use low sodium if no sodium stock. This is very easy! Hardest part peeling and chopping veg- lol. Thanks MzMarquette!

Not ready for 6 inches of snow -lol. We only received a dusting to an inch-but it got cold! Last night made lamb stew-needed. something to warm us up! Super easy, simple stew but great on cold nights! Thanks Ed!

Hi Cattitude! How are you? Family? Kitties? It’s getting chilly here. Yeah my aunt says it’s still hot out their in the southwest. She will be calling any minute. Have to do some more one pot wonder meals! And pie sounds really good! Yes still furloughed- it’s all good though.

@@pressurecrisp All good here. Recently had cataract surgery. All of a sudden things were quite fuzzy. Dr said sometimes they progress rapidly after not much change for a few years. I see great for distance now but have to wait 30 days for testing for close up correction with glasses. Using cheap readers for now. Couldn't afford multifocal implants at $4000 an eye and didn't want to finance it. I'm used to glasses anyway from wearing so many years. Sorry you are still on furlough but we're all enjoying the videos and you do keep busy.

@@Cattitude48 Hope the cataract surgery went well. the implants are pricey! If your used to wearing glasses its no big deal. Its been a nice break from nursing-and yeah I'm always busy-lol. Garden, videos, th9ngss to do around the house.

Hi Ryan, Had another viewer ask as well and I. have extra stew meat so I'm going to give it a try and see what happens. Not sure how long it will take to get thereat tender but I'm coming with a few ideas on how to do it. I. wasn't going to video it but. think I will just as a viewer request and an experiment. I'll do it tomorrow morning. I will. talk with my Aunt tomorrow-and let her know you said hello-she will be tickled :). Thanks Ryan!

I have a question I'm thinking about doing this recipe you put the beef gravy mix just to thicken it up right in a little more flavor is that something you could do at the very end if you found it wasn't thick enough

The biscuits mix we call in the uk dumplings do you call them dumplings as well? Looks pretty good the stew.

Hey slate, when we place the biscuits on top of the stew and let them cook - we call them dumplings. Last night I baked the biscuits in the ninja toaster oven. I usually don’t use the gravy mix but wanted to try it and it came out great just a bit salty- not for me or my father but I think others would say it was too salty. Thanks slate!

@@slate2103 Just had a. big. storm roll through-Albany, NY around where I live-was gonna do a roast but no power-lol. Good thing I waited until after storm :) The new oven so far has been great! NINJA sell those ovens in the UK!

That looks really good, but I do not have the Ninja Foodi, can you do this recipe in the Ninja Grill ?? That is what I have. And if you can, would you do a video with the grill of this recipe?

I don’t know Pitz woodworks, hmmm... I do have leftover stew meat. It would have to cook for awhile. I’m currently cooking chicken thighs and baked potato. Let me feed my father and I will give it a try. I’ll let you know- if it works I’ll do a video. Sound good?

Lisa I want to make chicken stew is it ok to use cream of chicken and cream of celery and water because I don't have broth I am going to add noodles how long will I cook under pressure

Hi Stephanie, those soups should be fine-just make sure. it is thin enough for no burn notice. Are you using boneless chicken? Cut it into small pieces. Cook HI PC for either 7 minutes with a quick release or. 5minutes HI and do a 5 minute NR. But depends on the noodles you are using. You can always thicken he stew up with a cornstarch slurry at the. end.

Hey Lisa, that was making my mouth water the moment you mentioned the word stew, would you say that using the pressure cooker method with the foodi was better than using a slow cooker for 8 or 9 hours I guess it gives you more control, doesn't it? Also is that gravy mix designed to be a thickener for food, is that what it's used for?

Hi David, Think I have a problem with food planning-tend to change my mind or. just don't feel like what I made-lol. I know spoiled. Just quicker for me. But you. can make it either way fast or slow. Not sure if there would be a difference-may have to try it both ways when I feel like stew again. Most of. the time I do the flour method-coat the. meat in flour and seasoning and brown it-then the flour will. thickness the stew but most of the time I end up having to thicken it a little more when it is done cooking. My father uses the gravy mix to thicken up the beef stew that I pressure can for him so I decided to try doing it that way. The gravy mix thickens and seasons the stew. The gravy mix is use for making a beef gravy-directions are. on the side of container Or it comes in single packets. Not sure if my father preferred the stew or the biscuits-lol. thanks David!

Hi Ron, I. cut them into good size chunks-think that its the secret. Some of the potatoes will crumble-russet. Yukons hold up better but russets are fine to use. Not fond of mushy carrots and potatoes in my stew. Thanks Ron B!

sear sauté button, then you can change temp from high, med, low med and low with arrows to control the boil.
