There is no way that I would pay 300 quid for that. The toast was not even toasted properly. 4 mins to do toast? Only room for one layer of food. I have a table top oven/grill. It has 3 layer if shelves..Settings for different foods. It even has a rotissori..The meat is beautiful..Cooks really quickly. Cooks toast evently. Roasts beautifully. Its an air oven. 85 pounds. you are paying for the name.

That music track that you played while you were flipping up the oven cracked me up! I have this same exact Ninja and I have used it almost every meal since. I make sheet pan dinners mainly Mediterranean style way and have lost 40 lbs so far. And I am loving the food from this Ninja.

This is still a great video in 2024. Better than the instruction book. I was "regifted" one by a friend a few months ago and used it once, but had a hard time cleaning the pans and basket, so the Ninja Foodi became a decoration on my kitchen counter. KZbin suggested your video today, and after watching, I am willing to try out the Foodi again. But, I will get that parchment paper from you first. Thanks a lot. Now off to look at some of your other videos.

I bought one at Costco a year ago. Finally got it out of box and figured out how to bake a pizza to start. It heats fast, pizza was perfect. I thought it was too complicated for me, now I have hope. My vision is bad. I left a gas burner on for days - to be allowed to stay in my home I had to give up gas stove. This will save energy and cooks better than gas oven.

@@MrAndMrsBanks I’m becoming the second hand ninja queen🤣🤣🤣. I’m on a budget, have bought every one off fb market from people who bought them but either didn’t use them x3 of my items, or used them a couple of times🤣🤣. I’ve saved £400 and they’ve all worked as they should too. I’ve 2 ninja pots the 9 in one ( which I suspect is a 7 in 1, 😱) a 15 in 1 ( both were still boxed in packets ). The XL grill which had only been used a couple of times. And this she said it’s new. the 8 in 1 will have this today. So I have back ups I’m going to buy a 1 pan hob for gravy, sauces eggs n custard type jobs. Then I will Sell me cooker ( £200) which cost me £429 which I’ve not used the grill, only used the oven. about 5 times, before I got my ninja addiction 🤣🤣🤣. Then I’m looking for a cheap cupboard or bench and or a longer bench top ( where the cooker was so I have bench room). I live on my own, but I batch cook and freeze, curry, chilli, soups, broths, stews. I have health problems. So when I’m not well I just put those in the microwave on bad days. And I do the XL for most of what’s I’d fry grill and roast. I’ll give me toaster away ( creates more space). And I can do toast n pizza and pies type things in here. ( I’ve got the council coming out on 4th May) might ask if they have a spare bench and cupboard to go where my cooker was. ( will pay them to do it. ) then I can put me ninja extras cooking stuff in there I have. Got it all planned in my head. 🤣🤣 my smoothie makers 5 year old ( still works wonderful) but I’ll look out for a ninja one on fb market. I have never been a brand snob. Until I came across this stuff last July😀😀. I’m 53 and it’s switched the way I cook completely. It all started with an air fryer , I didn’t really like , that I gave away on FBMarket. Haha

Great video. I’ve had this oven about four months, I’m still adjusting to it. One minor annoyance is even after the oven is completely cool the fan keeps running and the only way to stop it is to unplug the unit (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) have considered it may be a defect but not enough to pack it up and deal with an exchange, of course my opinion may change if my house burns down. Anyone considering purchasing this oven should know that Costco currently has a $40 coupon bringing the price to $139.99 it’s valid thru 09/26/21 which seems pretty good compared to several prices I’ve seen. Thanks for the demonstration and I look forward to any future videos and cooking demos.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! 😊 Fantastic demo (I am a retired senior who cooks all my own food and learns best through visual demos). I just recently bought my new and deeper Ninja Foodi I0 in 1 Digital air fry oven with the probe because my arthritic hands now make it very difficult for me to use a full size oven and/or lift things out of it anymore w/o fear of dropping and being burned. I haven't used it yet (still in box) but by this weekend I hope to be setting it up for use. You and your demo have inspired me to clear off my counter space and get started! On QVC, Kenzie Swarnhart, the Ninja test kitchen director, did a great sheet pan meal on the black tray with a 3-4 lb pork loin and roasted veggies and it looked delicious! You can search google for her demos with all Ninja products I cook for one but I eat very healthy home cooked meals (no fast food) because I love to cook and i like knowing my food is safe to eat with ingredients only I have added. With the temperature probe, I can do safely cooked pork chops and chicken without worry of doneness. I will continue to watch your demos. BTW. I already use the pre cut parchment squares... so thanks for mentioning that, too. Happy New Year!

Microwaves still have their place. ;) I use the Ninja to reheat items you want a crisp on. But soft and liquid foods I think might still be better from microwave.

Thank you for the wonderful video! Question: is it safe to leave the electric cord mounted in the back while cooking? I noticed it’s hot back there so I was hesitant to leave it there as stated in the brochure making it easy to flip when cool. Thank you!

I have to believe they designed it knowing the heat level. I wouldn't be worried if you have it on an open counter space. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.

Great review, Len! Wouldn't you know it: the first two foods you demonstrated are the two most important ones for me on a regular basis: toast and pizza (yup, bachelor in small apt here! lol) - so your video was the perfect one to help me decide. If I may, a little backstory, which might help others in my situation to decide better: Been working with a regular old-fashioned toaster oven + a microwave for years, toaster broke, decided next one needed to come with a much deeper width so I could finally make 12" pizzas. First try was the Oster Turbo Convection Oven with Pizza Drawer - but, wouldn't you know it: it arrived damaged despite being encased in styrofoam. So, that immediately told me the metal and construction weren't so good and, indeed, handling the thing, it felt flimsy. Adding insult to injury, the pizza drawer, fantastic idea(!), but it didn't click-in to the slot like you'd think it would - to me, cheap, and a safety concern. Decided to just send back for a refund. I was then considering going with the Black + Decker Countertop Convection Toaster Oven, albeit with some very mixed reviews highlighting a few rather inconvenient aspects of it, when I saw this Ninja today on display at Costco. I did a doubletake - it seemed to be the answer to my needs and, for the most part, fit the bill of everything I was looking for. A nice, low profile at just 8" high, the great handle placement off to the side caught my eye as it's really convenient, plus greatly reduces the chance of getting your hand burned. Also, the door flips down with some tension so that it won't crash on your counter like the above-mentioned B+D does, as you reviewer stated. And then the interface with combination dial + buttons + digital - one of the best I've seen on a toaster oven this size. Overall, it's just really good-lookin'. And then your review sealed the deal, thank you very much - but you've led me to questions on the toast and pizza functions: Toast: I've seen some reviews of the Ninja where they say the toast doesn't cook on the bottom as well as the top - but your toast looked great. However, I suppose they were referring to those "grill marks" from the wire rack, which is hard to get around, unless you wanna flip the toast halfway through OR I suppose you can just turn each piece sideways halfway through? Don't recall my old toaster not cooking the bottom evenly but then the wires on the rack of a small toaster oven are extremely narrow, like filaments, so they don't interfere with the bottom toasting like the thicker wire on a regular wire rack do, like this one. Ninja should make just one more of those racks using those filament-like wires that would be exclusively for toasting. Hm, I wonder if the airfry basket would do the trick. ??? Pizza: (a) again with the air fryer basket, which is 13"x13", I wonder if that could be used to bake a 12" pizza more evenly or, again, will that basket simply not work for pizza?, and, if it doesn't, (b) can you use either the wire rack OR the sheet pan to cook it, or is the wire rack clearly the way to go?, and (c) I like my pizza a little more cooked on top than you do, but if I cook it longer will the bottom burn and/or is there a way to turn off the bottom burner and just leave the top burner on? Any suggestions on that are appreciated. Guilty as charged for this comment running the size of War & Peace (sorry!) but, given you said you're passionate about the new toys you get, wanted to share my journey on this with you - and maybe it'll be helpful for your other visitors who on the same path for the (almost) perfect toaster oven / convection / air fryer with a lower profile. Thanks again very much, Len!
@MrAndMrsBanks3 жыл бұрын
Hey there. yes long comment, but I like it! thanks. So I'm not sure I'd use the air fryer basket for your solutions. perhaps the tray for the pizza if you like the bottom softer and the top more cooked. As for the toast, I have never had issues with one side being more or less toasted, but then I am not sure that bothers me. ;) I just want a nice crisp on the bread which I get. So just try various time and darkness settings to dial in your preference. We still use it EVERY DAY. Best purchase.

@@MrAndMrsBanks Thanks for making it through to the end of my novella ... er, comment(!), and for your very kind response. I'm actually toasting an English Muffin as I write this with the last legs of my old toaster oven, but did go ahead and order a new Ninja last night and so looking forward to perfectly toasted bread, bagels, and muffins, as well making pizza. And thanks so much for your suggestions in response to my questions, very helpful. Glad to learn that you & your wife are still very much enjoying your Ninja, and I'll take some of that good karma along with me. Thank you for a good review. Can you add time while you are cooking if you see you need a little more browning? Also, how much cabinet clearance will I need to flip up this oven?
@MrAndMrsBanks2 жыл бұрын
yes, you can add time, or just start over with a new bake. As the heat time is so short, it just would basically continue. I think in the review of the newer model I mention the clearance. But standard cabinet installation is good for most I think.

Hi Len, thanks for your in depth review, do you know if this toaster oven can be used under cabinets with no issues if discoloration, grease or warping of the cabinets above?
@MrAndMrsBanks Жыл бұрын
It’s designed for counter top use and most have upper cabinets so I would say yes. ;). I’ve not had any issues. But some talk of their units smoking and that might necessitate cleaning the cabinets. Mine never smokes. Hope that helps.
@saraharyev3314 Жыл бұрын
@@MrAndMrsBanks thanks, yes that helps. I have seen other units get very hot, thus making the cabinets above very hot so I have been skeptical about getting a toaster oven. This one seems slim enough that it would have a lot of clearance from the upper cabinets. Do you use yours in an area where there are cabinets above and have no issues? Thanks!
@MrAndMrsBanks Жыл бұрын
@@saraharyev3314 We do use it under cabinets and because it flips down there is a lot of space above between the cabinets and nothing gets warm. I would not be concerned in the least.

You think its possible to bake a cake in it using a 13x9 pan?
@MrAndMrsBanks Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for commenting. I hope you will watch all my other videos where questions like this and more get answered. But for your immediate question, no. The inside oven dimensions will not accommodate a 13" pan. It will bake a cake, but not that large.
