We bought one of these a few months ago. Love it! We live stationery in a 30' 5'er. Anyhow, trick we learned for cleaning the air fry basket - we bought a nail manicure brush. We discovered that it works beautifully for cleaning all of the food bits off the basket.

Nice tip💡I usually just soak it in hot soapy water & it usually rinses clean. We cook a lot of meat, so once in a while it needs a bit of scrubbing w/our Scotch Brite dish wand. I also use parchment paper alone, or on top of foil, to make for super easy clean up.

Air fryer basket. As long as it is not made out of aluminium, immerse it in Caustic solution for half an hour. It melts off all the heat hardened gunk. Just rinses off. I presume it is made out of stainless steel and it will be totally fine.

Thanks for the informative video. We remodeled our rv counter a couple of years back and dumped the stove/oven. We tried the oster convection oven. Worked great. But a monster for a rv. We tried a small air fryer a couple of months ago liked the convenience. The we saw the ninja air fry oven!!! Love it. Our little air fryer is going the way the rv oven and the convection oven. This is perfect for the two of us. Now to try couscous on something and smores. Thanks for the insights. Thot . . . couldn't hear the sizzle. Great product but the timer starting as soon as the heat up has finished should be connected to the door so you don't get the count down until you have put your food in and closed the door, In fact as it is I would just put the food in and then start the warm up and cook without putting it in after warm up, that's what I do with my air fryer, and with this you do have the see through door to keep a check on what's going on.

If the oven is cooking by hot air to provide the heat and the food doesn’t need direct contact with the air, just the heat, try lining the basket with parchment paper. Make a video if it works. I will be buying one soon.

That's a great idea, thank you!
@stevev36643 жыл бұрын
@@BlackberryHillHouse I’ve been checking on my idea and the instructions say not to line the basket with aluminium foil because it will trap the grease causing the oven to overheat and could cause a fire. There may be a similar risk with parchment paper. It is recommended to use parchment paper on the bottom crumb tray to keep it clean. I thought I should warn you. 😎

I got one of these because my RV only had a two burner cooktop. That’s propane no oven and that’s just ridiculous. Because you need something to bake potatoes. You need something to cook pizza or a meatloaf or any kind of chicken pieces or anything I put an air fryer in it which helped a lot, but it would not be big enough for pizza, so I got this thing And I buy those cauliflower crust pizzas at Sam’s or Costco and it’s just amazing you know you need something like this ninja and it works great on the pizza. It works great on pan cooking you know where you have chicken wings and legs and you have a sweet potatoes and onions and maybe some carrots or something like that and you just cut it up so that everything cooks about the same length of time and put it in Quarter sheet pan. I bought a quarter sheet pan at Sam’s Club because it doesn’t work when it’s cooking and a little pan that comes with it. If you’re cooking long-term it can warp now when it cools off it will straighten back out but if you’re going to cook anything long-term you need to get us a quarter sheet pan if it’s real good in there now. The pizza works out because it’s a short term thing But if you’re cooking anything over I’d say an hour for about an hour you need a sheet pan and you can get those at Sam’s Club but they’re like four dollars apiece and they come in a package of two for seven something it’s real cheap quarter sheet pans fit in there

I have heard others complain about the air fryer basket being tough to clean. I used to use citric acid for the bottom of my water distiller that would make clean up a snap. I am wondering if it would be a solution here, soaking it in a little water and sprinkling the citric acid crystals in and stirring it up then letting it sit for just a few minutes to see if it works.

@BlackberryHillHouse4 жыл бұрын
We really like it a lot! I think the learning curve isn't too bad depending on what you're doing. If it's something you think you'll use a lot then it's worth learning because we already have a lot of things down without thinking about it. but if it's one of those things you're only going to use now and again then I think it might be difficult to keep trying to remember how it differs from a typical oven. I'm excited to try the dehydrator. We love our regular one, but it would be nice to dehydrate some things out on the road when we get there

I used to work as a dishwasher where I had to constantly wash very similar grated trays and yeah that’s the best way. Let them soak in hot soapy water for as long as you have time for (at least 20 mins), then scrub it after. Also, don’t use brillo pads because it will shred them up and leave the fibers stick in the tray if you’re not meticulous about rinsing and inspecting It after

Not really. We had our old toaster oven in that same spot and the upper cabinet would get so warm I'd start to get concerned. You get some heat from the sides, but nothing crazy. To be fair, we haven't tried it in tight quarters like an RV yet, but I don't think it's going to add a ton of heat.

Does the top and sides get hot? How long do you estimate you'd need to wait before you stand it up for storage? What are the dimensions of the unit?

Yes, noticeably hot, would guess 115 degree range on the sides, less on the top. I'll get out the temp gun and find out. Usually 20-30 minutes to stand up again. It has a warning on the front when it's still too hot to stand up. That goes away when it is ready. Dimensions (L H W) are 19.72 x 7.56 x 14.96 Inches
