Love the recipe I did steaks in it also but I used the crisper! Pressure cooked at first and then crisp it 5 minutes turned out perfect! I like the Great Value corn seems to be a lot sweeter to me and I also wrap that corn in bacon which was fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

Ok, am very hungry now. My dinner is wedding soup in a can. I take the meatballs out. I don't trust meat in a can. Lol. Dinner surely looks so good. Probably will make french fries in my air fryer later tonight.

That rack is the crisper layer rack that comes with the foodi

Am I the only one not thrilled with the results? This isn't my version of a good steak. Hardly any sear, borderline medium well to well done, the ribeye was more pot roast than steak. But hey, if you and others like it this way, then enjoy. For me, I'll stick with the grill or a cast-iron skillet. Some techniques are classic for a reason.

I agree...Why in the hell anybody would "boil" a steak like this is just ridiculous.The veggies seem like they would be good cooked this way but why even bother???Just season some potatoes and corn/carrots/celery or whatever veggies you prefer and bake them for 40 minutes in the oven.Heat up a cast iron grill in the same oven pull it out and throw in the ribeye sear it good on both sides for 2 minutes each and then throw the whole pan steak and all into the oven the last 10 minutes before the veggies are done.Its seems like much less work to me and way better results and much more appealing looking too..
@ThatDawg215 жыл бұрын
The foodi has a broil function that you use after pressure cooking on the rack instead of in the broth. What he did is more pot roast then steak but to each their own. I do it the way they have it in the manual with slight tweaks and they turn out perfect.

Its personal preference. I don't know if his way is a way I would like but I also know that my way is how most would not like. And since steak is a personal luxury, either stop watching or enjoy that you are getting a different perspective?

Was that Bird's Eye Sweet corn actually "sweet"? If you say it's Sweet, I'll give it a try. I've had Sweet corn in restaurants and have always been disappointed. Field corn tasted better. Being originally from Michigan I have had Sweet Corn that tasted like candy. I grew a variety called "Silver Queen". Small tender white kernels. It was so good and sweet I ate it raw right in the garden. Didn't cook it.

Wayne Black I’ve recently bought corn at Costco and it was very sweet and my family loved it. If you have that membership it well worth the try. 🙏❤️👍

Interesting - so why does the steak have to be immersed in the liquid during the pressure cooking? Wouldn't it be better to put it on the rack above the liquid?
@COOKINGWITHDOUG6 жыл бұрын
Well course it doesnt, it's just more tender if u do...I did it on a rack before the same way and it wasnt nearly as tender

If your going to braise or pressure cook a cut of beef it's not necessary to do it with an expensive cut. Chuck roast will do. Ribeye should be seared in a cast iron or on a very hot grill.
