This is a great looking classic, it looks almost like an PC Engine game or even an early Genesis title. I like the cutscenes as well.

Oh man! Ninja Gaiden was the first game that young me ever got legitimately angry at ...but I kept coming back for MOAR! keep it up the amazing work bro! :)

Its really fantastic. For it not being made by Tecmo, Sega did a great job of making it feel like its on par with the NES games. Its badass!

In general I have to say that I really like the Ninja Gaiden series from the Beginning to the end and it's one of my favorite series ever

The Master System in general had better colors and sound than the NES in my opinion. But I'm more fond of the Master System than the NES because the Master System was my first video game console.

LUCKY! I agree, the SMS looked a lot better. Unfortunately for me, I never knew that the SMS was even a thing for the looooongest time. When I was a kid I always thought the Genesis was Sega’s first console. 😂

If you don’t do the weapon powerup cheat, I’d put it at roughly the same level as the NES. It seems like no matter who was developing the game, they were made to be brutal 😂

I thought this one was better than the GameGear version, and I liked that it had the jumping off walls, similar to "Batman: The Video Game"" for NES. The sliding endlessly on ice just seemed like lazy programing, and the bosses, seemed like lazy design. I was expecting better from the Sega 'Ninja Gaiden' games, after all they did create the great arcade game "Shinobi", but even that seemed more like a port of Rolling Thunder with ninja star tossing bonus stages.

I never had a Sega Master System when it was the current console. I got one years later and only got it to work a few times. I have never played this game.
