These are the OST's to the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the NES! But in my own form of Stereo! Which spreads the sound channels and adds a bit of echo/reverb. These mixes also do not represent true, original, or actual stereo that the NES has, this is just to make the music sound more clear and crisp, and is another way of listening to the greatness of 8Bit music. So enjoy this soundtrack in what I like to call, WiiGuy's 8Bit Stereo!! :D

It's a grand time! As this week (on Feb. 2nd) will mark my 8th year on KZbin, and this month will be 4 years since 8BitStereo began! So to celebrate, I am introducing something I will occasionally do, soundtrack compilations! Starting with one of the most well known trilogies on the NES, Ninja Gaiden! All being improved from the previous stand alone videos, as these versions sound much better, and have tracks that weren't included in the original videos! Enjoy!

Had this tune randomly stuck in my head, kept hearing it and couldn’t place it. Then finally, that AHA moment “Ninja Gaiden for nes, level 2-2!!” Gotta love these old NES soundtracks. There’s been a real resurgence of those old “8-bit chip tunes” recently, and I don’t think anyone who grew up with them is questioning why 😎

The original NES ninja gaiden trilogy are my favorite games of all time. I wish nintendo would still come out with new n.g. games with the same graphics, writers, composers but with new story lines and using the same ryu and Irene from these stories and not the bastardized, super violent and sexualized versions used in the later nintendo consoles. There is something pure in the nes stories with defined good and evil that hearkened to Star Wars especially with the once corrupted and eventually self sacrificial and redeemed father in the 1st game. The sci fi storyline in the 3rd one got a little ridiculous and overwrought, but the game itself was amazing though extremely hard.

Awesome video! Nice to compare with the SNES NG Trilogy video. I think I like this version more but I am used to the NES sounds more anyway. I wish there was a way to play with this stereo mod on all NES games. AFAIK some emulators may let you output certain instruments to certain speaker channels but that's it.

IMHO, the sequence should have included all the level tracks, without filtering the repeated ones. This way the story telling would be more consistent, as we remember it. Omitting all repeaters makes sound late game weird - as if there is no action, only cutscenes. Missing the most intense experience, the NG III final stretch is so epic :(
