The bonus shlong toss at the end of each level is worth a purchase alone lol.

I think those things are chikuwa, a type of fish cake that are made in the shape of tubes.

SinisterSally This is correct. It’s like a hollow fish sausage.

Vinnk explained later, and it probably makes sense in context... but this is WAY more fun!

Don't worry, the first time I saw them was in Tenchi GXP and they treated them like sex toys, lol. It was quite confusing when I actually saw one at a restaurant.

Thanks for that info. I initially thought they were scrolls, but then I realized they look nothing like the scrolls that the enemies drop. I suspected they were some sort of Japanese food (Japanese food shaped items appear frequently in old Famicom games, usually used as bonus points or power ups) but I didn’t know what food it was and I just jokingly referred to them as “burritos”. Thanks for filling in that missing piece for me.

You think the platforming in this game is hard on stages 1 thru 3? You haven’t seen level 6 yet. In that stage there’s (drumroll please....) sky sections where you have to cloud-hop over a giant abyss. As for the levels in between, Stage 4 is roughly the same as 3, stage 5 has a sort of “boss” character that you have to avoid and get past (not sure if shooting him does anything, but scary music plays when he appears and he can kill you in 1 hit on contact so he’s still technically a boss). Also the sky changes color to sunset pink after stage 4, possibly to give the effect that time has passed.

The game looks playable to me, not to bad at all.
@FamicomDojo6 жыл бұрын
It really isn’t bad, there’s just a lot unexplained and... a bit out of time? I think that’s the polite way to put it.

This game sold over 1,500,000 copies in Japan! But that thing that falls out of a tree might be a dog looking at artwork for the game!

Wikipedia says that in the game there are scrolls that can give different types of ninja skills. I suppose those weird flying things are such scrolls. Now, this is just my thought, but could it be that the way it is implemented is that there are in the beginning some artificial hinderings with the controls that would be decreased by collecting scrolls?
@FamicomVinnk6 жыл бұрын
Pauli Vaara Yup. If Sean had read my article he would have known that.

Is Vinnk's real name Vinnk? I've been watching Famicom Dojo since mid-season 1 and I've heard him only referred to that

You SERIOUSLY need to pick up the pace of your videos. That was a VERY long 2 minutes before you even put the game into the Famicom. If you took out your bad jokes and unnecessarily long awkward pauses (since all they do is stop the video dead), then I actually might consider watching more of your videos.
