Maybe you have talked about this on your limited channel but I would be interested to get a video where you talk about the difference between a strong sideboard card (dress down) and just a bad card (Kellen). I'd like to hear the analysis of how some of the cards towards the bottom of the list stay in cubes because of very niche application.

54:32 Undermountain Adventurer was a bit of an odd thing to scoop to. I mean you were still on a 1-outer but if you draw fractured, you can take sheoldred, fly the frog, gain 2 life, take initiative, and still have a sheoldred back to block. The combo of frog + sheoldred would mean you would have Mack on a 2 turn clock, so Mack just needs to brick one turn and it's probably your game (assuming you draw the 1-outer, that is).

If most decks are two colours, there are 4/10 combinations that have blue in them. 6/10 three colour combos have blue. So the base expectation is around 50% of decks having a certain colour. Of course, historically many of the most busted cards in magic are blue so vintage is definitely distorted. But a glance through LSV's videos shows it's not by that much.

Wow, having to choose between Bowmasters and Sheoldred is a tough pick, imo. LSV snapped the Bowmasters but honesty I may have taken the Sheoldred instead. Bowmasters is the better pick but Sheoldred is so good in the Vintage Cube.

I think that’s a “pick the cheaper card” spot as much as anything. Sheoldred has a big effect when it’s out, but Bowmasters is far more nimble. Plus you can play it with Lurrus. 😊

@@dementievatz It's also 1 black pip vs Sheoldred's 2. You can easily splash bowmaster if you end up in, say, UR with a bunch of draw 7s. With sheoldred that's much harder.

Thoughts on taking that unmarked grave in pack two just because you have some strong 4s and 5s that might end up dead or discarded to psychic frog? Probably not super likely to end up playing it but when all your best big cards aren't legendary, it doesn't seem like the worst pick up, especially when you could side it in against a control deck or similar.

I'm wondering whether Mox would be the pick P3P1 in a mtgo league draft. I would still take mox, but I wouldn't be surprised if higher level drafters might go Tamiyo there.

why would tamiyo be the pick? the only card that turns it on is cruise and there’s nothing really getting value from regrowth. it’s a good card but not crazy on its own

I’ve had a hard time deciding how I feel about it. It’s a lot like Bob, but sometimes you can’t really attack so you don’t get the card. And sometimes you get upside by saddling it. I think I like Bob better for consistency, but it’s tough.

3v3s are soooo much worse than the 4v4s. Really hurts the enjoyment of the draft portion when the packs are cut so hard.
