I had that staining happen to me with a very cheap Black & Decker mini chopperusing it to chop tomatoes. I just had to put Dawn liquid dish detergent into the dry container. Then scrub with a somewhat dry sponge. Then add not water and then scrub again. Then the tomato stains disappeared. I use shredded carrots and shredded raw cabbage for coleslaw and pickling. : )

I wonder how it copes with peanuts. I have a Magimix that I've been using to make peanut butter (and other things!) for 30 years. It works great and the motor is as good as new. Unfortunately some of the plastic parts on the base are starting to go and I haven't found a replacement.

@@TheAverageKitchen Thanks. The cleaning won’t be a problem as it shouldn’t be much different from what I’ve done for the last 30 years :-) For more liquid things there should be less cleaning as it has a gasket. The Magimix needed careful management otherwise I’d be literally in the soup.

Can you get just a regular lid for the ninja XL food processor so that when you do make dough it doesn't splatter all over the lid you have to use for the chopper and shredder? Carrots stain everything. I went when young to a meting given by Vita mix and the common complaint was about the carrot staining the machine. There answer was run an Apple through the machine and it will take care of the orange staining. Hope it works for this as well. It was one of the reasons I returned mine, apart from the bowls breaking from the bottom. They were replaced but the same thing happened twice.

@@TheAverageKitchen the states, but, it doesn't matter. there is no x in et cetera. just trying to make you a little smarter. excetera is wrong. Almost like when black people typically say AX a question instead of ASK a question. It's a sign of ignorance and laziness. Like boaf instead of both. Or NUKE YOU LAR instead of NU CLEE AR. You are Canadian so you may say Al U Min EE UM in stead of A LU MEH NUM. no extra I in aluminum. A wise man accepts reproof but a fool rejects it. Proverbs 9:8-10 \Thank you again for sharing
