Ninja to Mixer: “WHATS NOT CLICKING STEVEN?!?!” HAHAHAHA
@ButterIsPro2 жыл бұрын
As a Partner who was on Mixer since 2016 when the platform was called Beam at the time, I respect Ninja highly in how hard he tried to make Mixer the best platform. Unfortunately for everyone else who saw the potential, we couldn't of saved Mixer and I think Microsoft suffered a big loss for streaming potential. Mixer was ahead of it's time and its a shame that they pulled the plug on it. I think Ninja did a great job of explaining how Mixer innovated the streaming game and I'm glad that he was able to make it out fine. It does suck that none of the Partners who were with Mixer for years were able to get taken care of, but that is just how reality works.
@Tyl3rMack2 жыл бұрын
The partners that went to FB got taken care of. FB is still doing stuff for us no other platform does (monetary wise that is)
@ButterIsPro2 жыл бұрын
@@Tyl3rMack That was the issue though, not all partners got the same treatment for the FB contract. Some got better ones compared to others, even if you were on the platform for a long time. It was just the unequal opportunities that people got.

I think the biggest takeaway im getting from hearing a lot of gaming influencers speaking out and being honest about their circumstances is simply be careful what you wish for! I think we forget that a lot of people like Ninja didn't ask to be put in the position that they are in and now that have to deal with the good and bad that comes from it. AND, like he said, "more money more problems"...money isn't everything and people who have a lot of it are not necessarily the happiest people. They now have to be skeptical of people because they aren't sure if they are coming around for selfish reasons. True privacy doesn't exist for them anymore, and that is something that most of us take for granted. Being able to make mistakes a learn from them without it being on display for everyone to see and judge. I have started to become very empathetic towards them and their situations because even though they have money and a huge platform, they also have a lot of struggles that are unique to them that may be harder to deal with than it may appear. Great podcast! :)

Thanks for the interview boys, listening while at work. Keep up all the hard work everyone! Having a purpose is where the phrase "work til I die" comes from. A lot of folks stop working in their 50's 60's and die naturally shortly after because they feel they have no purpose. It's crazy.

Great interview, but... being in a tough spot without money, is much harder than being in a tough spot... with money. Let's just get that straight. A bad economy makes life horrible, that's just how it is. People being angry towards Ninja because of his money, that is pathetic though. I'm definitely jealous of Ninjas success & riches, but that doesn't turn to hate & I also very much think that he deserves it. I respect him for what he has done for gaming/streaming.

I'm rich and this just simply isn't true. If you want some empirical evidence look up.happiness by country. There isn't correlation. Also people in wealthy countries are more likely to commit suicide. Money creates problems that being poor doesn't. I'm not any happier in my 2.5 million dollar condo than I was the month I had to sleep in my car. Don't talk about things you've never experienced.
