Future Proof I said it is not easy, not impossible. I always gave too much atention to things that are supposed to make sense in both anime and manga. This is the first time that does not matter, in fact, it makes the story even better.

My friends dragged me along to watch anime with them luckily when we hit random we got this disasterpiece. I love this show as the series goes on it gets better with less of the inferno cop animation as the story gets more serious and easier to follow but it ends with a massive cliffhanger that frustrated the hell out of me because I was actually into it as some one who doesn't watch anime often I found it a very charming experience with some very good characters a few who I wish were explored more. Like you said I feel it is a great satire of ultra violent and gritty anime. It actually takes a lot for me to get invested in an anime because very rarely can one hold my attention and this show was like a slap in the face and I loved every minute of it

the book that the series is based on probably continues after the cliffhanger (since a lot of story bits that are hinted at aren't even in the show), but can't confirm since I didn't read it.

The only thing that could make the show even better... would be for them to make a platformer game with the cutout animations and use the full animations as cutscenes...and call it... Ninja Slayer From Movie....

You can't really analyze Ninja Slayer without understanding its origin. It's based on a webnovel made by american weeaboos filled with all the stuff they thought was cool, which is why everything is so stereotypical exaggerated. It's a weeaboo wet fantasy, in other words (just imagine narutard fanfiction and you are right on the track). Japanese people got a wind of it, translated it and then turned it into a show. The real kicker is that there is no actual novel made by american weeaboos, though. This show is a mirror of weeaboo delusions about what makes anime good seen from a japanese perspective.

You made this review around when the first episode aired? Because I just started watching it a few days your criticism about brevity actually is spot on. I just started watching it a few days ago after learning that, oh hey, that shitty Super Power High School anime isn't the only adaptation Trigger has ever done, they also adapted an American Comic. I could only get through 8 episodes. I didn't really mind the 12 minute long episode time, but the fact that the pacing is for an 26 episode series is just tiring. If it was 10 or 13, it would be a lot easier to digest. I don't know if I'll continue watching it.
