NINJA SPEEDI KFC STYLE CHICKEN.

WHO DOESNT LIKE FRIED CHICKEN?
This Chicken test between the Ninja Speedi & Deep frying blew me away!
The Speedi won hands down! 🏅
It was quicker, juicier tastier & not to mention so much more healthy for you than deep fried!
This is definitely my favorite chicken recipe for “Southern style chicken. It came out so crispy & juicy!
Ingredient’s
1 whole chicken sectioned into 8 (or preferred chicken pieces.)
2 cups of Butter milk
3 Sm/Med eggs
1/4 cup of Hot Sauce/ Buffalo sauce
2 Cups of flour
1/2 cup of corn starch
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/3 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
(Or if u don’t have celery salt or onion powder use 1 teaspoon of chicken seasoning Adobo)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoon mustard powder
2 teaspoon garlic powder or Mr Dash
2-3 tablespoons smoked paprika
METHOD.
Add egg buttermilk & hot sauce to a bowl, whisk & add your chicken pieces.
Place in fridge while you prepare the flour mixture.
Assemble all you dry ingredients to a bowl and mix well
Take your chicken pieces 1 at a time (shake off excess batter) & place in the blended flour mixture.
Press down hard into the flour ensuring you coat the entire piece.
Lay on a flat surface and repeat with all your chicken pieces.
Leave rest for 30 mins
Add 1 1/2 cups of water to the speedi & place rack on lower level.
Add your chicken pieces & set to 375f (190c) for steam crisp for 20 mins
Spray a little oil on each piece.
Turn over chicken pieces after 10 mins
After about 17 mins use a prob to check internal temp of chicken or cut open to the bone with a knife to see if it’s fully cooked
Take out & enjoy ☘️
