The sai scene with Donnie more reminds me of the South Park episode “good times with weapons”, when Kenny accidentally throws a shuriken into Butters’ eye and the boys start to freak out. Also, how old do you think the Turtles are in this movie? Because (to me) they feel like they’re the youngest they’ve ever been on the screen, I’d say about 13, barely pass 12.

There’s been talks of spin off shows of this movie being released on Paramount+ and a sequel depending on how well this movie performs. If that’s true, it’s very possible that we could get a Ninja Turtle cinematic universe! We could see these young 13-14 year old turtles grow older facing more menacing and complex threats as time goes on and the turtle voice actors getting older as well. They could even make Shredder like Thanos and have him looming in the shadows being slowly built up to be the final boss. That would be PEAK!!

im so hyped for this movie it looks absolutely gorgeous. A few things I wanted to note myself are about the first batting-esque scene. You can see Leo walking up behind donnie as he is recording. He seems to have a concerned and sort of rushed expression, like he knows theyre not supposed to be messing around and rather, are actually on a mission. (on which they need to focus) This gives me more of an idea that Leo may once again be the more responsible one, and that the movie’s plot may include an irresponsibility arc similar to that of Rise’s movie(just with the other members)(plus i think its possible raph may have been using one of Leo’s katanas/odachi) one thing i love after looking at this is that they finally painted out a better representation of mikey and don’s relationship bc ive noticed its usually strained despite their age similarity. here however, they really seem close and just like actual teenage brothers. I can definitely see a raph vs leo dynamic again, too, as Raph insists everything is fine while Leo is still concerned. (its interesting, he seems to enjoy playing with the younger siblings as well) I wanted to mention as well that for Donnie’s VA, it has thrown me off i must admit, but i want to give it a try. i find that it could be neat to use his higher voice as a role in a character concept idea. that of being, since we know Mikey has been said to have grown very little and Donnie a lot(in terms of the mind) its interesting to have their minds represent such and yet their voices and physical aspects not. Like kind of a dont judge a book by its cover sort of theme. That or its possible they did it to achieve the “nerd stereotype” for Donnie; especially with the glasses and crooked teeth. I wish there were more trailers already because I have quite a few questions. Were the “little shreks” guys the Purple Dragons? Are Bebop and Rocksteady lone agents or is there more to the story? April seems to be older, is that true? most importantly, whats the main plot? I am eager to find out but the question i want to be answered most regards splinter’s Napoleon Dynamite-style mullet lol anywhooo All in all Im absolutely PUMPED and cannot wait for this movie! :D

I'm not sure what it is but I'm not really in love with April's look her; has nothing to do with her body or ethnicity (which was inconsistent even in the early Mirage days) just something is off. Def the best design of the turtles since the 2012 series. One thing that series and this one as well seems to focus on is these are suppose to be teenagers.. but yet they have been portrayed more like late teens/young men imo .. I was kinda skeptical at first when the movie was announced but now I can say with confidence that this might be my favorite version of the turtles. It mixes dirty gritty environment and color palette with a brotherly chemistry that has both humorous and relatable. Although this isn’t the first version of the turtles where they act like teenagers, it’s the first one where they actually sound their age and I’m 100% supportive of it. I love casting and I think the voices fit perfectly with their characters (Donnie is gonna take some getting used to but still I think he sounds great). So yeah, overall I can’t wait for this movie to come out. By far my most anticipated film of 2023

I love they went with a more young take on them. They are pretty cute actually. Their interactions will be the main thing of the movie for sure. I just don't know if I liked April's design very much. Like, when you see her face she looks young, but sometimes she looks older. I thought it was a little visually confusing. Maybe because the more cartoonish visual of the movie it makes her with a big head. I don't know. I just think when they show her full body is kinda weird. And I didn't get if she was suposed to be younger or older.

So I am happy that they are at least turtles the size of human Teenagers. It was only one version of April as a reporter but in the Mirage and IDW comics and the 2003 series she was a lab technician at StockGen for Baxter Stockman. I wish they had that version of April instead of the old news reporter one in my opinion.

This has potential if they do this right, the route they’re going I feel like this could be a trilogy or a 4 or 5 movie type of animation, starting them off right now as young teenagers and later in the years seeing them progress into the Late teen mutant ninja turtles we all know and love, giving them the Boys to Men type of treatment would be a fresh start for the whole franchise itself if they follow a certain formula in the series.

I'm very excited for this movie. The animation is incredible, the action scenes look solid, the character designs are unique and interesting, and Raph is as awesome as usual. Don's voice is terrible IMO, though. This is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, not Elementary Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I think this is a good first look at the movie. I like the voices, including Donnie’s. His high pitch voice just works for me. The designs are good. The turtles are fresh while still having some classic aspects. I’m a bit iffy on Splinters, it’s funny, but I hope it’s a flashback because the mullet wouldn’t work for all of the movie. April looks good to me, no complaints. I think Seth and his team might have this in the bag. Hope he does the Utroms justice.

The animation style is great. But this is just one more turtle-type in a multi-verse of turtles and I do not feel drawn in by what Seth Rogen thinks the turtles are.

Overall I’m interested to see what they do with this. Donatello sounds a little weird, but that’s minor. The only thing I really don’t like is the race swapped April. I don’t like when any movie/tv show feels the need to change an established character.

@@nehuend1015 yes the movie was serious and it had a pretty deep theme about Fathers and their importance/impact on their children. Of course there's lighthearted moments and comedy but the movies has a good balance of seriousness and Mutant teenage turtle wackyness. plus the 90s new york grit

And that's only talking about the movie we actually got. It would've been more serious than that if the director hadn't of been let go and his original vision edited down

For me it was how all the characters are charming and their designs are amazing. The ones I was mostly worried about were Donnie and Mikey. I wasn't a fan of their first reveal with Mikey's head looking too big and his eyes were too far off. And Donnie looking like a lanky typical nerd so seeing these final designs has put a big smile on my face.

I was having such a hard time figuring out what these turtles designs remind me of and it finally hit me….. ….action figures! They may not have the same designs as the original tmnt action figures but the size, the extra large heads, the big eyes and expressions, add some screws to the hinges and these look like action figures animared
