Need to say I loved how Nick turned Bebop and Rocksteady into such badass and at the same time funny characters. At first I was SO worried! in the classic turtles Bebop and Rocksteady are such idiots and the turtles used to take care of them pretty easy and I hated that. But in this version they totally did an awesome job specially with Rocksteady, he is so huge and strong as a wall just like Rhino really is, nice one Nick!

Funny how he's my favourite of the two now, while Bebop was my favourite on the 80's show. They kick nsome serious ass, and the ending was nice and emotional. This was a fun episode to watch! :) Yeah, this new Bebop and Rocksteady are a lot smarter than the 80's Bebop and Rocksteady. Since this show is bringing a lot of throwbacks from both 80's and 03's shows I wonder if Shredder will end up mutated? Because in the old live action movie Shredder got mutated and was turned into Super Shredder. It also happened in a video game "Turtles in Time". It would be cool if they saved it for the series finale and it could be the ultimate showdown. :)

LOVED this episode, and I love how hilariously forced their mutant names were. Also this maybe obscure, but I'd like to see "Brutus" from season 4 a.k.a. Filler season number one(not bad, just filler). He was half bull, half gorilla. Let me say that again, HALF BULL AND HALF GORILLA! AWESOME! Also the giant Mutagen cow would be cool to, which was all covered in spikes and kept growing, AWESOME! MORE MUTANT COWS IN TELEVISION!

Best part is they seem to be enough of a threat on their own without the need of Shredder, so it wouldn't surprise me if they went on their own after the Turtles for awhile. As for future mutants, well....I'll wait till your review of "Battle for New York" before i answer that question because I think we already saw her and that's all we WILL see of her...*sniff*

I just recently got the Usagi Yojimbo omnibuses... and yeah, he needs to show. Been thinking about it, and it would actually be pretty hysterical and awesome to just do a small 2-3 episode arc where the turtles get summoned to Usagi's world and have to just do their best to fit in. Especially because that in itself would be a call back, since that was the basis of the final crossover before Usagi moved to Dark Horse comics. And refreshing my brain on the source material, they'd have to play Usagi as the "comically serious" character. It would be so much more sweet to see Usagi as his kind, affable self than any kind of wacky, larger than life type character (ala Bebop and Rocksteady). Like, bust out the Kurosawa references for this episode.

I LOVED Bebop and Rocksteady. XD They did have their moments of idiocy and incompetence, but I'll overlook it since they were, and probably still are, blinded by revenge. But I applaud the two, for doing the one thing Rahzar and FishFace failed to do for many many episodes: capture Karai and bring her to Shredder, and they did it in two episodes. Though I do NOT want to see her in the enemy's hands, I admire the two new recruits for completing their mission and proving their competence. I'm so bummed though that Karai couldn't retro-mutate... I still don't get how Karai was considered "special enough" that the retro mutagen had no effect, especially if it was a small sample of retro-mutagen, or something close to it, that caused her to switch between snake and human mutant forms in the first place.

I like this rendition of Bebop & Rocksteady. I liked this episode a lot. Good review. The Next Mutation was a novel concept & would've been ok, but it was handled horribly, it was extremely cheesy for kids & it was made in the '90s. I'd like to see Venus in the series. I'm sure this new team would do a great job w/ her & find an inventive was of incorporating her into the series. Plus the series could use more female characters. And the whole "relationship" thing could be played up a lil more. Leo has Karai, Don/Casey have April, so Ralph/Mikey should have Venus.

Another prediction: this all ends with the big roof fight with the Shredder a la the movie. Turtles are winning until Shredder uses a special version of the mutagen he made for himself: super shredder. It goes bad until... instead of Splinter showing up, it is Karai who is...a turtle and this series's version of Venus. Shredder charges because he is pissed at this choice. She throws him into Dimension X with Krang. "Without Honor" speech is the same. Or Shredder will fully fix her and brainwash her--and then all of the above will happen.
