CBR250R= The Ultimate Cornering machine. Recently I changed mybike's stock conti-go tyres to Michelin pilot street radials(110/70 front, 150/60 rear) and boy it has made my bike RAZOR SHARP. A true baby Fireblade in character now.

Yes, stock pegs. Since this trackday the owner has installed rearset adjusters by Yoshimura. These adjusters give the ability to move the pegs up and back for more ground clearance. I've got the same Yoshimura adjusters on my Ninja 250 and love them.

Hello! Yes, a quick tap of the throttle with each downshift. The skill you are talking about is "rev-matching". If done properly, the transition should be smooth. You should be timing your: throttle, clutch-in and shift all at the same time, then immediately release the clutch right after. Practice practice practice. You'll get it soon!
@Prodigy112012 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm using the GoPro HD2. Most kits come with two cases- 1 waterproof, and one skeleton case that improves sound quality. The waterproof one reduces wind noise. You may want to try mounting the camera where its got some wind protection, like behind the windshield

They're great for both. I currently have 4 trackdays and 3,000 street miles on the same set of tires, and they've still got enough tread for at least one or two more trackdays.

i think the circuit was more of the stop and go characteristic with only few long straight, which was more ideal to the CBR250r engine character.. It is more nimble and agile, and also (as I remembered) the torque and power were peaked on a lower RPM.. that's why, i think, is the reason why the ninja had a hard time to get pass the CBR in this circuit...CMIIW

Panesy12 is right. 1)Some countries may still receive a carburated model to keep costs low. I have never had an issue with my carburated bikes. It generally costs less to gain more power with carburated bikes, than to modify an EFI bike. 2) My friend has certainly smoked me many times on that CBR250. When he's in the zone there's no catching him. Once he modifies tires and tweaks suspension, I'll have a hard time keeping up. 3) I use my Ninja 250 as a daily commuter, 20 miles on the highway.

Fast is a relative term. Whether it be a twin or a single doesn't really matter. A Honda NSF250R is also a 250cc single cylinder, but it would embarrass both of these bikes on the track. The idea with tracking bikes like these is to just go out and have fun for little money. The skills you learn with pushing the limits of these bikes compound into confidence on bigger bikes. Both bikes have enough top end for light highway commuting.

To address "pulling away in the turns", I don't believe there is a significant difference in that category. For highway use, either 250 can negotiate highways, the experience is more pilots specific.

Which one of these bikes would you say is faster in a straight line? I'm trying to gather as much information about both bikes and to compare them to the new ninja 300. The Ninjas are heavy... and the 2013 model is slightly heavier than the 250r. So I'm really trying to debate if I want the Lightweight machine or the heavier one.

Straightline the Ninja 250 is faster, granted you have to wind it out to access the power. The CBR is more user friendly and you don't have to work the engine as hard to as hard to keep up with traffic. If you're looking for a first bike, the CBR250R, Ninja 250R and Ninja 300 are all great choices.

If we compare with the exhaust , cbr 250 using stock exhaust and ninja 250 we can hear the sound ( absolutely not stock one ) its not fair one , and the ninja rider took so long to overtake the cbr250 , i think we need to see these bike battle again with equal engine , what i mean is can you make another one but this time the two bike must be in stock condition with no modiffication or atleast give the cbr 250 exhaust upgrade than we can know which is better :) .

nah you're a joke. same 250cc engines. it all depends on the driver and the track. ninja shows off on higher torque while cbr on lower torque. meaning, depends on the length of the turns maybe biased to one or the other. so yeah, get educated and actually race both bikes so you know what you're talking about you ignorant fool.
@billab0ng8310 жыл бұрын

poor attitude on what moron? i have been driving bikes for 15 years. i ain't no spring chicken. you ninja owners are so up your asses when it comes to comparing both bikes. i drove both bikes and i know their strong suits. don't be ignorant.
@ragnarku9 жыл бұрын
Lol. just because it has higher top speeds doesn't mean it'll win on track. CBR has bigger torque overall and on lower RPMs so it accelerates out of corners faster. Also it's 10kg lighter than Ninja and has shorter wheelbase, meaning better handling in corners. So perhaps this'll educate you Ninja riders who think 2 cylinders beat everything: When it comes to circuits, power isn't everything. Look at MotoGP for reference.
@wilmeriancalibo532211 жыл бұрын
they were able to pass the 600 people because they are still practicing to do corners, and these 2 have probably been practicing a LOT
@shaunroberts602510 жыл бұрын
not necessarily. higher cc's are better on the straight away while the lower ones are more nimble on the bend. i can show you a video of a scooter making the 600 and up cc's look bad on track. it's all about physics. not brute force.

lOL i doubt that, its probably just people on those scooters are more experienced than those on 600's :3

@Panesy1212 жыл бұрын
Wrong. It isn't just about the bike. The ninja is NOT a v twin, it's a parallel too. It may be quicker in the straights, but the cbr will be better through the corners, especially with the right person riding it. The one thing holding the cbr back is the lack of mods it can have because it hasn't been as wanted as much as the ninja. Not sure where you live, but if your current ninja's are still carbies, then the '13 models might be carbies too.

Yes they can, watch the video, the guy on the CBR is pulling away on the turns, and I know from personal experience they can beat ninja's in turns if set up right.
